SPACE SHUTTLE COLUMBIA COMMEMORATIVE POCKET KNIFE The 440 Stainless Steel lock back blade measures 4 inches with an overall dimesion of 7 inches. The handle has a very nice picture of the space shuttle crew smiling. The handle is very heavy and has a polished gold steel finish. The knife has a stylish silver indian feather mold bearing cover. The tin box has a picture of the shuttle take off and a quote from President Bush: "Because of their courage and daring and idealism, we will miss them all the more." Also the date February 1, 2003 is on the top of the box as well as the names of the astronauts. A Statement from the Families of Space Shuttle Columbia: On January 16th, we saw our loved ones launch into a brilliant, cloud-free sky. Their hearts were full of enthusiasm, pride in country, faith in their God, and a willingness to accept risk in the pursuit of knowledge --- knowledge that might improve the quality of life for all mankind. Columbia's 16-day mission of scientific discovery was a great success, cut short by mere minutes ---- yet it will live on forever in our memories.
