Pour beverage as hot as you possibly can and start out with airpot being 90-95% full. As the beverage level drops, the heat dissipates to the upper stainless steel walls of the airpot not covered by the beverage. Hence at only 25% full, coffee will not stay piping-hot for much longer unless the airpot is refilled. This is due to physics and is common with all thermal carafes or airpots. Use a long handle cleaning brush to clean and rinse the airpot thoroughly with dishwashing liquid and water periodically and before first use. Always place the airpot in a horizontal and upright position. Avoid careless handling, tilting or dropping, as damage and leakage may occur.
