  1. For a long season of color from spring through fall, include a dazzling array of both annual and perennial flowers for continual bloom. That way the color parade can continue throughout the growing season. A great way to create drama is by repetition of a recurring color throughout your landscape. Keep in mind that shades of red, orange, and yellow add pizzazz and excitement while the cooler tones of blues, pinks and lavender are more soothing. Green, silver and white tones help balance the overall scene.
