I have used Sears dry detergents for years and have found them to be cost effective and clean clothes of a four year old and an 11 year old. Both seem to be messy eaters and this detergent gets out the stains and retains the colors of the clothing. I use it regularly.

I don't care how much money I will be saving with this detergent. It will not dissolve in my Sears Kenmore HE topload washer which has been another disappointment. Even in hot water and has left my clothes with brown splotches. I am now running my clothes for a second time. Will be going back to Tide liquid

Started using Sears Ultra Plus Laundry Dertergent years ago. Tried other brands and just could not justify the higher cost, so I switched back. All the positive reviews you read on the various websites are true. People would not write these reviews if they were not passionate about a great product. It cleans better than many I have tried throughout the years, without leaving a strong scent. If you want a strong smell, use a scented fabric softener. My family has allergies and respiratory conditions we inherited from my Mom. She is actually recovering from pneumonia and a pulmonary embolism at the hospital as a write this. One thing she tought us was to only but things when they are on sale... unless you absolutely need it that day. I buy this detergent when Sears puts them on sale for half off the regular price, which I think they do every few weeks (check the Sears website, your local Sunday paper circular, or just call the store). That is usually $11.99 for the orange colored box that has 180 loads. Do the math, that is less than 7 cents per load. I have not tried the other versions of this detergent that have the fabric softener or contain the Oxy additive. I have still not figured out what the difference is between the orange and green box Ultra Plus. My experience is with the orange box with an item number 9879 on the box. Both my elderly parents live with my sister and you can imagine how much laundry she does in a week. It is like having a couple of 3 and 4 year olds in the house again. She has a LG washer and dryer and loves how they clean and has had no problems since she bought them in 2008. I just bought my first front loader LG set for myself. Besides, if the leading consumer reporting magazine writes it is the most reliable front loader on the market for serveral years in a row. . . buy it. Must be the Direct Drive motor they have in every LG washer with less moving parts. My parents always taught us how to save money, before it became fashionable. They taught me how to share and help others do the same. Perhaps being refugees and starting over in this country without handouts made them smart shoppers. Good value in todays world is more important than ever. Try this detergent. Just listen to my wonderful Mom and buy it on sale. Hope she leaves the hospital soon so we can start doing her laundry at home again.

I own a medium-sized hotel and unlike many other hotels, our laundry operation is "in house". Our washing machines are all front load, high capacity, high efficiency machines and over the years, we learned the hard way that normal detergents dramatically shorten the lives of these machines. Because of this, we use only detergents that have the "HE" rating (High Efficiency). We experimented with several different brands, but hands-down the best (and the best value, too) is the Sears Ultra Plus brand. It performs as advertised, is very low-sudsing - so we use far less water - and is very cost effective. Most importantly, our linens are always sparkling white and stain-free. Overall, it's a great product and I have become a true believer. By the way, when our stock is getting low, we don't purchase one or two boxes: we buy hundreds of pounds. I am happy that Sears will ship it to their closest store for pickup, so we don't incur additional shipping charges for these large, heavy orders. Also, one other thought: if you use a newer "High Efficiency" washer, don't be misled by detergent brands that advertise "low sudsing", unless it also has the little "HE" logo on it. Those products are NOT formally "HE" rated and can void your washer warranty or worse yet, can damage your machine.

I love this detergent! With just two of us at home, a 120-wash box lasts over eight months, and when you buy it on sale, you simply can't beat the price. I use slightly less than the recommended amount in our front-loading washer and have never had a problem with clothes not getting clean. I highly recommend it!

, Hospital Laundry Manager
I am a Cerfified Hospital Laundry Manager , I cannot speak highly enough for this product.. It is one of the BEST detergents I have ever used.. And keeps cost in line for me. In the smalller 15 to 20 lb machines to the larger 150lb machines it produces sparkling white clean work. It is low sudsing and saves rinsing too. We at one time used 5 rinses now only 2 are needed. Saves us time and much water. On very heavy soil we use a double wash instead of alkali as we once did. Linens are softer and last longer now.
