I love this TV. It has a very clear picture that can be enhanced. It also has many features, such as giving information about the program you are watching. The sound quality is excellent. Great buy for the amount paid.

Toshiba good purchase for den
This 40 inch was bought for my den; the picture is sharp.Sound okay but not exceptional.There are 2 hdmis.okay but limited. I have a sony bravia 40 inch in other room that has better surround sound.The base is tricky to place tv on;it took 2 men to hold,and screw tv into the base. You get what you pay for and for our needs in the den, this will do. do not expect top of the line picture or sound quality at this price.

Just bought this TV the other day at my local Kmart for the bedroom. The price of $399 was a great deal! Very easy set up, took no time at all. Beautiful, sharp picture & audio is perfect.

Great no frills LCD for the price.

Great picture once you set the picture and turn off the energy savings settings. The contrast, brightness, and color are all great. Better than the plasma I had to replace with this LCD. Sound is good despite the size and HD cable and Blu Rays are great across this TV. I'll definitely buy another Toshiba LCD that is bigger in the future. Well worth the price and even with it being a no frills TV it has a great picture on it. Even with the SD channels on cable.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Not to bad

I really like the tv. I bought the tv a couple days ago and it was easy to set up. I put the stand on by myself and ran all my cable. Very simple to do. My color looks great especially when playing my PS3 or watching blue ray movies. The only problem I do really like is it takes a minute to come on and the remote control has to be pointed directly at the sensor. Other than that the tv is great

Cheap TV

I would not recommend this TV. The picture is very dark and I could not find a good calibration to make the picture look decent. For being an HDTV, the picture wasn't very clear either. My grandparents went out and bought this TV on a whim and they were not impressed either. They will be returning it. If you just want a cheap, no frills TV, then maybe this is for you. If you want a good, quality picture - stay away.

Lacking in so many ways

I really wanted his purchase to work. Had never owned a Toshiba, but heard positive things about the brand. The picture is dark, it came with the Brightness already set to 100 with no way to make it brighter. There is a 1 page owners manual. I could never get the right calibration. The picture was never clear, it was actually fuzzy. It has the sound of a cheap tv. Since I'm not an impulse buyer, I'm not used to returning merchandise but this set had to go back. Let the buyer beware.
