needed large screen and is great especially with lane guidance. issues with activating lifetime maps but resolved within 2 days by tomtom support.

we got this item refurbished - and it's THE BEST!! We are so thrilled with it. Borrowed a Garmin for a trip and got this instead and are so so glad we did. And SEARS of course is totally reliable and stands behind their merchandise. PLUS, they are the top as a good corporate citizen which means the world to us!

Wrong cord/plug in box
The plug in the box does not fit into this device. I actually liked the Tom Tom- but you can't use it without a plug. Called Customer Service was transferred to 3 different 800 #'s. They finally told me to go to the store. I went to the store & I was willing to exchange it for another, but the sales clerk opened another box of the TomTom 1500m and again- wrong cord!! It doesn't fit. I ended up returning it. Sears can't get their act together - Customer Service is horrible!!

TomTom ranks one of the best
I have used a Magellan Maestro for many years, but I got tired of paying $69 to update the maps. When the Magellan finally broke I tried the TomTom, and I will NEVER go back! This GPS is easy to use, and the map updates are free for the lifetime! You can't get better than this.

No Live Traffic
On the TomTom support website, its says that the traffic receiver is integrated in the sigarete socket, but mine does not work. Is anyone out there have the Life time traffic working for this GPS? Please plug the sigarete socket into your car with USB charge cable connected and let us know. Thanks.

I also just received this unit and i didn't read the review, i want everyone that is considering buying this unit to know that even though in the product description it says the unit has traffic "?Lifetime traffic and maps 0 Outsmart road changes and traffic" it DOESN'T you would need to buy it separately The GPS it self is very nice though
