Sony  Progressive Scan Upscaling DVD Player  ENERGY STAR®

This player did everything it was supposed to do the first year. Pictures looked great on HDMI. After the first year it began to freeze up and the only way to reset it was to unplug it and plug it in again after 30 seconds. Anyone who wants to lose weight getting up and down to reset it is welcome to try this unit. But, beware you'll be thinner but frustrated. Anyone on blood pressure meds should avoid this unit.

<span>Out of all the DVD players I've ever brought the Sony was the easiest to install and operate.</span> It's lightweight and I'm able to adjust the screen , volume and the television.  It's definitely the best piece of progressive equipment available.

This DVD player is one of the best product on the market and well worth the money, I received mine last year an it was so easy to set up and use I just love it and i would give it as a gift to my family awesome item I just love it.

this dvd player is one the best players , its can play most media including mp3. And the price is very reasonable.

Thoroughly happy with this DVD player. Super-easy to set up & install right out of the box, picture & sound quality are excellent, and the remote control very user-friendly. Only problem is the weird absence of a tray-opening button on the remote.

I have a Sony 5 disc drawer player and a Sony BD player. Scratched, dirty discs, freeze up and won't play in any device. Handle your discs correctly and clean them and you'll enjoy this unit for a very long time.

No troubleshooting would make it work again. Had to throw away and now trying to find a new one. The shipping and repairs would cost more than the $50 purchase price.

After trying two other players before getting this Sony, I feel very fortunate that the other two untis were defective resulting in my deciding to puchase this player. This unit is very sleek and very attractive on the entertainment center. I like that it was really simple to set up out of the box so I was able to start enjoying it immediately. The remote control is also very user friendly. But most impressive was the quality of the video image. After all thats, why I bought the thing. I love it and would highly recomment it over the cheaper lesser known brands. I tried those first. Its internal menus are very loaded with options, but Im a simple play and watch guy. You won't be disappointed with this one.

I've only had this DVD player for one month, but so far so good.  The price was right, looks good, works as it should, and I like the friendly remote.  I am pleased.
