Heating & Air Conditioning Accessories for Your Home

Heating systems have many aspects, but they all need accessories and basic maintenance. Filters, duct parts and fans can be required for optimal performance. Occasionally, a particular application may even need a specialized heater to handle its unique requirements. Here are some examples of the types of items often used in heating applications.

When it's time to change the filter, choose a Filtrete filter to allow your furnace to double as a whole-house air purifier. These filters can capture everything from pet dander to smog so your time at home is comfortable and sneeze-free. An added bonus to these accessories is the fact that you won't have to dust nearly as much when you have a good furnace filter cleaning the air for you. Filtrete filters come in various levels of air purifying power to meet your needs.

Axial inlet adapters are accessories that allow fumes from welding and other industrial tasks to be easily vented away from the work area. They allow a single axial blower to serve double duty and therefore make it twice as useful. When a job calls for serious ventilation, set your blower up with one of these to bring in the power it needs.

Sometimes, completing a heating system doesn't require a large part, but many small ones. Parts like the exhaust elbows aren't flashy or glamorous, but often make or break a successful HVAC installation. They allow exhaust pipes to be curved around and through small areas or sharp corners so the actual heater can be situated far from the final exhaust point. Once outside, galvanized rain caps and other such devices prevent water from falling into the ductwork below. Guy lines keep high wind from blowing the caps off the roof and galvanization prevents corrosion. Elbows, caps, and other ductwork-related accessories should be obtained along with any new heater so you have everything you need to complete the project without any hassles.
