My four-year-old daughter wears a toddler size 10 and these boots are a true fit. My daughter was able to pull the center zipper down and get the boots on by herself. The material behind the zipper is a smooth nylon solid piece so the zipper doesn't snag itself on the inside lining. There is a patent leather border from the toe to heel and a velcro strap you can tighten or loosen. The inside lining is a fleece-like material which my daugther says is very soft and snuggly. She especially loves the four glitter hearts in blue, hot pink, medium pink and light pink on the outside of the boot. The faux fur on the top of the boot also has glittery blue, pink and gold strands. The sole of the boots is 3/4 of an inch thick with the heel an inch high. This is a very well made boot that is both fun and functional. My daughter has worn these boots in flood weather and her feet stayed warm and dry.
