I bought my canister vac at Kmart and I have 4 dogs and it picks up the dog hair great. I have a pug and they are known to shed a lot. My other old upright vac use to get clogged with the dog hair and I would have to clean it out every single time I used it.I do not have that problem with this vacuume I love it.I would recommend it to all of my friends and family especially the ones that have pets.It also have a very fair price commpaired to some of the other vacs I was looking at

This Kenmore canister vacuum is a dud !! July 06, 2010
I had this vacuum for two weeks before it was returned with ultimate dissatisfaction. The reviews that I read mentioned powerful suction. If they meant to say, that I'd be blowing money, then they are right. Because it sucked all of my trust in name brand product purchasing and the value.
When I operated the machine for the first time, I expected a quiet motor. It was high pitched whining and a terrible burning plastic smell evoked into the air. I became nauseated and was forced to open windows in the middle of winter. The machine would shut off by itself after 5 minutes of rigorous back and forth motion in the same spot that would not pick up paper.
I would not recommend this to anyone unless they wanted to use this as a boat anchor. The wand end has such a tiny opening that it won't even fit a candy wrapper through it. It should be recalled and redesigned.

Does not last long before empting,filter needs to be cleaned too oftenAs much as I'd like to give this vacuum a grate review, I can't. After three months I've finally returned this vacuum for one with a bag.
The bag-less filter clogged long before it should have! The small collection container was almost empty while the filter is clogged to the point of shutting down the machine.
I'm sorry to say that this one negative outweighed all of the positive aspects.

It has suction as good as my $600 sweeper.

Affordable,Easy to store,Easy to cleanI purchased a vaccuum almost identical to this one about 16 years ago from Sears. Looking at many, they were not what I was looking for (one used bags which is ridiculous to think how often I would be replacing the tiny bags) and then I came across this one at Kmart. I own an upright but this is perfect for hardwood and tile floors, furniture, ceilings and quick cleanups. I am hoping it will last a fraction of the time my last one did. I read some of the other reviews and was thinking I wouldn't be happy but I am very pleased. I usually empty the container after each use so it isn't a problem for me. I have two very large dogs and it does a great job getting up all the hair which is a daily routine for me.
