Great charger to keep around the farm! March 10, 2010
Pros:
automatic trickle charging,jump start capable,meter indicate degree of charge and rate,not too heavy,variable charge rate for different bat'sI purchased this charger for my father for Christmas. He had an older charger that just didn't work half the time. He uses it for charging the lawn mowers, 4-Wheelers and some cars he has in the barn. He has never had a problem with his new Craftsman Battery Charger. It does the job everytime. He can use it for different kinds of batteries. I would recommend it to everyone.

Come in just one color - :)I used this Craftsman battery charger to both charge my riding tractor's battery and to initially give the tractor a 50 amp jump start.
It has more than enough power to charge an automobile battery, maybe even my old International Step Vans battery!
The pulsing needle, as with the older Sears charger, gave me an idea of what "rate" the battery was being charged at.
It was very nice to see an analog meter being used approapriately in a new piece of equipment.
I expect this charger to be with me, for many years to come.

i liked the charger but the only prolem i had with it was that the needle jumped around A LOT and it slowed it down, thats why I gave it a 4. Other than that it is a good charger.
