Nice little charger.
I purchased this to maintain my motorcycle battery, however it works well for my small car (430 cca) battery too. On both batteries it slowly tapers off the charge (both charged and charging lights on as described in the instructions) as the battery nears full charge; 14.5v for lead acid batteries. If you want to know the health of your battery, check the voltage 24 hours after charging. It should be at least 12.5v at around 60 degrees. If it is less, you battery is starting to show some effects of age. I haven't had to bring a car battery back from the dead (<12v for lead acid), however this is not the correct charger for that task due to its low amp rating. That's why it is called a maintainer. Overall, I'm very happy with it.

I have bought about 4 of these in the past 2 years and each one has never lasted more than a few months. The first two I dropped from a height of about 3 feet. They are my fault (even though they should be able to take some abuse) but the other two the condition lights stop working and it freezes on the green fully charged light or no lights at all. I hooked one up the other week to my Harley. It showed a green light. Left it plugged in. Went to start the bike after two weeks. The green light was still on. Guess what?....Dead flippin battery. I also have a battery cutout switch so it wasn't anything on the bike. These things are junk.......I buy alot of Chraftsman stuff but these are terrible.........thanks

Nice little battery maintainer/charger
This is the perfect charger to keep your boat or car battery at full charge when the battery is not used for a while. I use mine to keep my boat battery full charged during the winter, when my boat is stored. I take my battery out and keep it in my house. Every few weeks I connect this charger, and top off the charge. Perfect. I also like the extra connectors to work any other 12 or 6 volt items I may want to turn on in my home. Like a CB radio, that normally would only work in my truck. Great item

Got this charger for christmas about 6 years ago from my brother cause I bought him 1 had it on my harley during winter to keep it charged, because a cycle will not charge itself like a car, and I'm thinking of getting another to charge an atv, the do come in handy.

Works as advertised. All you have to do is hook it up to the battery posts and the charger works its magic! It only took about an hour to charge a battery. I was very happy for the price I paid.

This charger/maintainer is a must have. I have several and have not have any problems with them. I use them to keep my auto, trucks, motorcycles, and tractor batteries charged and ready to go even in low and below zero cold temperatures. Maintaining you batteries with this product even prolonges the life of your battery. It works!!!!
