Grand Resort  Hardtop Gazebo

This is a great products. The instructions are easy to follow and the components are clearly marked. I have put together many items such as this, but by far this is one of the best-engineered item for assembly I ever bought. Having another person would help make construction easier, but I am 76 and just a little guy, but I was able to complete the job, by myself, in less than fifteen hours, spread into a three-day project. To construct the roof I built a 2x4 stud screwed onto a 24"x24" piece of plywood, then added an extension to the stud held with clamps to make it reach under the little roof. Nothing to it. This was a fun project. Good luck.

I'm coming back to rate this because last year no one had made it through a winter. I must say I was skeptical but I screwed it Down to the deck and it made it through the blizzard of 2013 and to follow an ice storm which added more weight to it, wish I could add a picture of the pile of snow on it. Just took the screens off it survived great our New Hampshire winter.

Bolt locations forced multiple stripped blind tapped rivets which required channel locks to complete. It still got done but someone should have designed this thing better for the money. Uniqe hardtop. Lets see if it withstands snow. Poor package pickup service forgot to give us box 2 of 2...spent $60 in gas picking up second box from far store....

Although there are very many parts for this gazebo, it is extremely well designed and went through a wind storm with 40 mph wind gusts with no problem at all. We love the roof design, it was put together by my husband primarily alone. We looked at many gazebos before deciding on this one.

I purchased this two years ago under the "Garden Oasis" name. It has come through several horrendous wind and snow storms unscathed (we did scrape off the snow when it was over one foot} Yesterday, we had the roof panels off to move the unit. A wind gust blew one away, breaking it. Unlike another review I had exxcellent results when contacting the manufacturer. They are sending a replacement panel for just $28.56 shipping included. Very satisfied.

Ordered this with store pickup option. Sears has that down perfect. Smooth transition and quick in and out. My wife and I opened the boxes and found instructions. Very simple and well written. If you follow them and look at pictures there is no way to mess this up!! All pieces fit perfect with all holes lining up with no missing parts. We assembled in less than 4 hours. Very nice afternoon project!!

To start off, Sears is not at fault. However they should have given more consideration to this product before they decided to sell them. The problem is that if you need or want to PURCHASE replacement parts at a future date you are out of luck! The manufacturer DOES NOT SELL replacement parts. You may only replace parts (on a limited basis) durning the warranty period and I ( after talking with the importer of the product) am not sure about that.Was pleased with the product until I wanted to replace the single track curtain bracket with a double track bracket in order to purchase the Grand Resort Curtain set. After several phone calls to the importer I found out that you cannot purchase parts even if you are honest enough to admit that you screwed one up. So don't buy this product!!

Glad I bought this gazebo. Put it up last year, This year we had 70 inches of snow and it held up beautifully. Two of the storms were over 20". It's held up to wind rain and snow, doesn't leak, just put up a chandileer and it looks great. It was an on line special, regular price $1199, got it for $809 and it was available for p/u at my local sears.

It took my wife and I 6 1/2 hours to fully assemble the gazebo. I recommend a third person to make the process easier and faster. The instructions were pretty straight forward but with one or two glitches. Be sure to follow the directions page by page and do not skip ahead. Also, DO NOT remove protective sheets from panels until you are ready to install each one. There is no way to tell the difference between the protected side and the regular side. If you put them up wrong it will void the warranty. We haven't had the opportunity to enjoy it yet however it looks great and construction seems solid.

Engineer and work in manufacturing environment for 20+ years and still gave me a good challenge. The Chinglish instructions are OK, but lacking. I had a roof strut that was missing a press-fit female thread. The manufacture from the instructions in the kit expedited the malformed item to me. I had laid out all the pieces and taken an inventory before the project. Much beer and patience later I had a beautiul gazebo installed. I did buy a knock out, cord crip and used a dremil to connect a dimmer at the top inside corner of one of the posts.. I siliconned it in there and plug the cord runs out the bottom to an extension cord. From that i have a nice dinning room light that fits the decor and looks awesome through the smoke panels at night. Often times I'll just turn it on at night like a night light as it looks very cool. The gazebo when lagged down has survived amazingly horid winds! Just love it. Now I'm contemplating to just buy one on sale so I have a spare.
