We put this pool up about a week or so ago. The hardware seem very well built. The DVD was informative, but didn't include information on the pump that came with our pool (but contained other pump models). Also, it didn't emphasize the importance that the surface must be PERFECTLY flat. Not just pretty flat, but perfectly level. I spent a good 2 days getting the location level. After I get the pool set up, which was very easy with just the wife and I and my 11 and 5 year olds helping. It was very quick as well. After the pool was filled with water, we get the sand filter set up and chemicals added. Everythign was great! But this morning, I noticed the water level was like 2 feet lower that what it was! I found that the water tube connecting the pump motor to the sand filter has sprung a leak. Upon further inspection, I noticed that the glue that holds the end on the hose broke loose. I emailed tech support and got a reply that said it will take 2 days for a reply. So now I can't run my filter and am expecting some funky water. My local pool store said they don't carry Intex products and to check at Meijer and ********. No luck. I guess I should have spend more money on a 'professional' pool. Other than that, it's a pretty nice well built pool I will get a good couple years of enjoyment out of it and will get a 'real' big pool in a few years.

This is the 3rd Intex pool we have owned in the past 10-12 years. Our first pool was a victim of Hurricane Katrina. We bought this one to upgrade from the Intex frame pool with the white poles. This is much sturdier, looks like it is better built and I love the sand filter! And we got it on sale so it was only a little more that our previous pool we bought a few years ago! My husband and I set it up in just over an hour or so maybe 2. Not bad for 2 old people lol. We purchased the saltwater chlorinator to go with it. It is so much nicer than having to add all those chemicals. 3-4 bags of salt and you are ready to go. If you go with saltwater make sure you spread the salt around the pool and keep brushing the bottom of the pool to make sure salt is evenly disbursed. Filter only took 1bag of sand and was easy to assemble. And I didn't even read the directions! Do yourself a favor and buy this pool versus the cheaper version. You will not be disappointed.

As soon as my 3 guys installed for me we had a pinhole leak in the wall. A patch kit fixed that. Ladder is cheap. I do not like the winter cover that came with pool. It has holes (factory) in it. Will buy a real one soon. Sturdy, pump works good, keep ground level and use a solar cover for higher elevations to keep temp up. Can't wait til next swim season. Will consider solar heater and salt system later. No regrets!

Since this pool was a replacement, the site was already clear and flat, the simple set-up took us about an hour and an overnight fill had us swimming the next day. We purchased a heavier duty ground cloth and a pool floor cushion for under the pool. Those made the pool floor very comfortable and helped to avoid issues with any imperfections in the ground surface. We purchased this set back in May... The sand filter system was great all summer and made the balance of chemicals easier than what we had with the cartridge filter model this pool replaced. I highly recommend this pool for it's easy set-up and maintenance! FWIW... It's hard to find info online, but, INTEX has a two year warranty on their pools. We had an issue with the pump and it was resolved quickly.

I bought this pool about 2 weeks ago. Searched all over my city for a pool like this and Everyone was sold out except Sears. I was happy that they had this pool on sale for $300 off the original retail price. My backyard is on a hill and I squeezed this pool inbetween a garage and a small shed. Since it's a little late in the Summer, I'm going to wait until next year to level my ground for this pool. So far it holds up nice, (even on the slope) and I now have a semi-shallow end and a deep end. The pump works great. I just bought a 50 pound bag of pool filter sand from Meijer for $10 and it does the trick. Installation wasn't that bad. It took me about an hour and half to snap together. The Ladder is real shaky but holds me (I weigh 240ish) when climbing into the pool. My box was open when I bought it, and the liner was wet making it heavier to spread across the yard. Some of the plastic snaps to the frame were inbetween the poles too. I could tell I had either a previously used pool frame and liner or a display piece. Everything came in the box except the ladder guard that's suppose to keep people from swimming under the ladder (no biggie for me).
Overall, I'm highly satisfied. This pool holds on a hill because the Ultra frame and heavy liner is tough. The pump this pool comes with is an upgrade to the pump smaller intex pools come with from the reviews I read on many other sites. That's why I'm giving it a full 5 star rating. The pump itself is worth the cash. Just wish it came with the saltwater system too. I plan on buying that next year too.
I can't wait until next year to get this pool on level ground to see how much better it looks with level water on both sides. Buy this pool. You won't be sorry.

This Pool was easy to put together but as the directions say (make sure the ground is level). When the pool was filling we noticed a small pin hole in the liner but with the patch the small pin hole was easy to patch and is holding firmly. Have enjoyed this pool several times and am glad I purchased it.

So far so good - Love this pool! Was not hard to put together - husband & son had it up in 2 hours. We had to do some adjusting to be sure it was on level ground. The sand filter pump is doing a great job - we also bought a saltwater pump to go with it - like it so much better than having to add chlorine.I think it is a good buy for the money.

We are going on year #2 of having this pool. I've always had an inground pool and didn't know what to expect. The quality is excellent. What a great value. Sears price matched and I couldn't be happier. The sand filter is a must. The clarity of the water is much better with a sand filter than a cartridge. This pool is plenty big for a small group. My next pool will be the 24'. If you are considering a chlorine generator make sure the water isn't hard. I highly recommend this pool!

Awesome pool for the money. We have had the pool up for over a month now and very easy to keep clean and very easy to take care of. They price matched the pool from Toys r us. Added a salt water generator to it in order to make maintenence even easier. Awesome pool for the money

I was very pleased with this pool. The frame is sturdy, the liner is thick and the pump really works well. Set-up is easy and I did it by myself. The hardest part is getting the ground level, which is a must. If you can't tell if you have leveled it, spread the tarp out put the hose on it. Even a few inches can make the pool lean to one side. You do need to by filter sand, but one 50lb bag is more than you need, and it was about $13 at the pool store. The pump and filter is just a smaller version of a real pool set-up. It moves a lot of water and the skimmer bucket really cleans off the surface. I haven't tried the vacuum yet, but giving the suction, I'm sure it will work well. The ladder is a little shaky, but it works. I also purchased the salt water system for it. Just put the salt in last night and I'm waiting for it to fully dissolve before turning it on, but others gave it good reviews.
