A big relief
Everything at home feels just great after installing this softener...which is as it should be. But.... My rating is not as much for the softener as it is for Sears. Although all these softeners look and function the same and are probably made by the same company, Sears installation people were much better than the "other" large home improvement shops. Obviously specialized in doing just this one job all over the place, they are just great. On time and ready to work within 3 days ! All other installers were obviously plumbers and/or salesmen for other water companies that tried to sell me their own systems!

Soft Water again!!!
The other day my 20+ year old Kenmore 70 series water softner finally gave out and clogged all my faucets. From what I can figure, the brine tank burst and filled my waterlines with residue, appearance of applesauce. A pain because all filter screens had to be removed from all faucets and washer and cleaned in order to get any water through them. I ordered this new softner online and now have soft water again. It was easy to install, hooked up right where my old one was with no issues.

Adaptors
Sears should recommend the Genova 543101 adaptors for this unit. They are 1" female pipe thread to 3/4" copper, pvc or cpvc. No soldering or gluing required. Makes the installation a breeze.
