Texas Steer Work Boots came apart at the soles after two days
I do a lot of digging in soft, dry dirt. I wore these boots and used a shovel to dig two holes on two separate days. On the third day I went to brush the dirt off of the boots and noticed that both boots had cracked soles. Both boots had a veritical cracks going through them where the boot flexes while walking. And one boot had a horizontal spilt running lengthwise through the middle of the sole. It appears as if the soles are some type of ply-rubber (not a single piece) and it simply separated. I expected to get at least 4 or 5 years out of these since all I do is some simple digging and walking around. I didn't expect them to fail after two days of use. I wish I had kept my receipt.

These boots lasted two months before the sole came off both of them. It was like the glue just came loose. Don't waste your money.

Texas Steer Boot good value for price
Usually purchase work boots at another big name retailer but these were on sale for a very reasonable price. The ones we purchased have a zipper on the inner side. He is a truck driver and the added convenience of just unzipping or zipping the boot on and off as opposed to having to unlace and relace the ******* huge!! Very comfortable.

I BOUGHT THESE BOOTS FOR MY HUSBAND FOR WORK AND I HAVE TO SAY THEY ARE A GREAT VALUE FOR THE PRICE. HE IS IN CONSTRUCTION AND EVEN THOUGH THEY GET BANGED UP EVERYDAY THEY HAVE HELD UP VERY WELL.

Best work boot for the money, hands down
Texas steer was the best boot I could find between *******, shopko and kmart for what I needed. I used the boot in construction for nearly 2 years, and it not only held together fairly well, but was comfortable too. I buy two pairs of this exact boot every two years... just to make sure, I can find it in my size when I need it.
