Texas Steer  Men's Kaine Leather Steel Toe Work Boot WW - Black

Just wanted to update a review I posted back in December 2011. I had written a review regarding this boot and how quickly it fell apart and had to be replaced. I stated I would update the review once it was time to replace the new boots. Here we are 14 months later in February of 2013 and I'm still wearing the replacement boot. The boots are used every day at work and beat and worn out. The soles are beginning to crack from the shoe leather downward and are pretty much worn completely down. I'm very hard on my shoes and I must say these took everything I threw at them. I'm going to try to get another month out of them then in the trash they'll go. Apparently, the pair that fell apart quickly was not a sign that all of these boots were no longer being quality made. Must have been one bad pair that slipped by as these are as good as I remembered them to be. I'll continue to purchase these boots as my good experience outweighs the one bad.

This work boot is very well made the quality of the book material is very good. The boot is soft and flexible yet strong and tough and has better overall quality than those boots at *******. Kmart has done an outstanding job in putting quality and value together in these boots. I work in the warehouse where these boots came in handy anywhere from; pushing,pulling and dragging also in and out of very large freezers and coolers, operating forklifts and trucks in wet conditions inside and outside that would destroy most boots in this price range within 2 to 3 months like those found at ******* stores. These work boots lasted me just short of one year of use approximately 11 months

I had been buying these boots for years and always felt that they were comfortable and long lasting. In my opinion, the quality and durability was equal to boots that cost three times more. So what happened?

I bought two pair when they were on sale a couple of months ago and kept one pair stored away. Luckily I did because like the other reviewer, I drive a truck and must have steel toe boots for work. Imagine my surprise when I was on the bed of my truck and almost tripped because I caught my shoe on something. Or so I thought. I looked down at my left foot and found that two-thirds of the sole had folded over and was just hanging down. This was after approximately two months use.

I hope that this was just an aberrrationand not a sign of poor quality control. I have one pair left and my expectation is these will last like they used to. I will update this review the next time I have to replace the boots either because of defects or wear.

Weighing both my prior favorable experience and my latest experience I will give three stars. I have recommended these boots to co-workers in the past but I'm not sure I still can.

My wife purchased these boots for me a month and a half ago and they have already fallen apart. The sole fell apart from the bottom letting water and snow inside the boot. Living in New England I must have a reliable pair of boots. My job as a truck driver does not entail much wear and tear on the boots,so they should be able to last more than a month and a half. I will never purchase his brand of boots again.

One good boot-that hold up.The solo stats intact real sewing siting. I ripped through other boots in six months. This boot is real good.I worn out the boot laces before the boot wears out.I got get another pair while they are on sale.Very comfy with in soles.
