    Great for an Apartment or as a Work/Game Table June 29, 2008

    This table was the perfect size for an odd shaped dining room area we once had in an apartment. Fitting four "comfortably" I believe is a slight exaggeration. I would describe it as more suitable for a cozy setting for two and reasonably comfortable for three... otherwise there is very little space for any dishes to pass/candlelighting, etc. However, it's definitely a phenomenal buy for the quality and for purposes other than dining. We're now living in a spacious house and ever since this table has paid itself off in spades. It's been transferred from room to room and used as a desk, conference table, kitchen island, gift wrapping center and as a surface area for card and board games. This dining set is classic in design, exceptionally durable and medium in shade. You couldn't make it yourself for the going price. Even if the coloring doesn't appeal to you and you have the time and a creative flair, this table could be easily transformed into a high-end focal point with a paint job and/or ceramic tiles. Simply re-upholstering the chairs to match my decor give it a major face lift. My husband and I were looking into purchasing furniture for a small patio area, and it just dawned on us that this dining set would fit perfectly. So now for a fraction of the cost of new furniture, our next project is to weather-proof the wood, drill a hole in the center of the table for an umbrella and recover the chairs with leftover outdoor fabric I already had. Recycling K-mart furniture It's a good thing! Highly recommended merchandise!

    I finally purchased this set after reading the positive reviews over the last few months. The table is very nice and good quality very HEAVY and sturdy. The color is pictured darker than the actual table itself, we were disappointment at first, then put it together and am in love with it. It only took about an hour for my husband and myself to put together. The table is alot bigger than the picture makes it look as well, but still love it

    This set looks very dark in the ad and online, almost black or espresso color. We brought it home only to find out that it is very orange based. There was no display in the store. BEWARE, if you're looking for dark wood - this is not for you!

    I absolutely love this table. After reading reviews on it for three months, I finally saw it on sale in the Kmart circular. I vowed that if it was in stock when I got off the plane last Monday, I would buy it. My husband and I are ecstatic. It matches our decor and you cannot beat the price for the quality. You do not sacrifice style, comfort, or quality for the seemingly low purchase price. The sale price makes it even better. If you need a table for a small area (we have 1K sq ft apart. with 2b&2br), this is it! We were using an old solid, cherry set my great aunt had for years. It had the "spindly" legs and while it was adequate, this has taken it's place. It came out of the box easy to assemble and no one could guess we assembled it. It is beautiful. I have never been pleased with "boxed" furniture until this purchase. It looks and feels like it cost $600 or more. Take a chance if you need a table for a small space and a small budget. You won't be dissatisfied!
