Essential Home Pine Night Stand, you get what you pay for. I knew the quality was less than perfect, but it is holding up perfect for what I want. I bought 4 of these and they fit perfectly under the L-shaped desks that we have. The back of this is cardboard, along with the bottom of the drawer. The drawer is great for paper clips, stamps and things that are light. These night stands are basically particle board, but they are pretty sturdy. I have a printer on the top of one of them and their is no movement when the printer is working. The bottom of the nightstand along with the shelf holds the copy paper and the drawer holds the extra ink supplies. With that being said they are pretty sturdy. I like them just fine.

I have two of these in my master room and one in my sons room. They are good and easy to assemble but the drawers are not able to hold much. I have had two of the three of them break.

We bought this end table because it was the only one we could find in town that fit within our budget and was big enough to use as a stand for our printer. Like one of the other reviewers said, don't delude yourself into thinking this is a real piece of furniture. It is pseudo-furniture. It is made of cheap, easily cracked particle board that smells like saw dust and has unfinished edges sticking out everywhere (especially in the drawer). The whole thing shakes when we use the printer on top and the drawer can only hold five pounds. To put it together, you literally nail a flimsy, bendable piece of cardboard to the frame and call it backing.

However, this is what we expected for an end table from a big box store for $30 on sale. We wouldn't have bought it if we were established home-owners, but it's respectable enough for students. We bought it in "walnut" instead of "pine" to match the other pseudo-furniture in our apartment. I give it three stars because it does what we bought it for, but didn't exceed our modest expectations.

Note: the instructions to put it together are a little bizarre--they have you set up all the pieces for the frame, and then leave them lying around while you put the drawer together. That's just silly, because the drawer pieces have nothing to do with the frame pieces. We reordered the steps to leave the drawer for last, making the process less chaotic and wasting less of our very limited space.

I recently moved to a smaller place. My husband and I had bought a new dresser and were trying to find some furniture to go with it. We needed furniture that would look nice but not take up a lot of space. We also wanted to have furniture that would help us store some of our things. We wanted the place to look nice and organized. We found this night stand and a matching chest of drawers. This night stand has been perfect for our needs. It is sturdy enough so I can place my stereo with the record player on it. It has a small drawer to put things in like cds. It has a space on the bottom to put things like magazines or decorations. I really like the color too. The price was great too. It was all on sale. We had looked at some used furniture places but decided we could get this furniture that was new and at a better price. We love layaway but since the price was right we just bought the furniture that day. Thank you Kmart.

The night stand is serving the purpose for which I need it, to hold my laptop and small lamp.  It was easy to put together and is sturdy enough for the purpose it is serving.  I was a bit diappointed that the back was cardboard, but I guess you get what you pay for.

This night stand was perfect for my needs.  Priced right and looks very good.  Assembly was fairly easy as long as directions are followed. Only downfall is that you won't be able to put very heavy items in the drawer as the bottom of it is a thick cardboard material..otherwise an excellent looking product for the price.

This is such a cute night stand! it's perfect for our spare room and was extreemly easy to put together. Looks great!!

We bought this piece to replace a side table. Since it has a drawer and a shelf, it comes in very handy. 

It was easy to assemble.  You really can't beat the price!  :)

I bought this the other day for my sons' bedroom. I was replacing a childrens colourful bookshelf that was being used as a night table, so I wanted something older looking but also matching the bed & dresser. This does perfectly! There is plenty of room for many childrens books on the shelves, and the top has more than enough space for the lamp and small stereo. The drawer is pretty spacious as well. As for assembly, it wasn't difficult at all. My only issue was that there were not holes drilled into the end of one of the boards. Thin screws has to be used there and unfortunately the particle board split a little while trying to get them in. Nothing that really damaged it though. Also, the table back and bottom of the drawer were just cardboard. After nailing on the back, I had plenty of screws left over so I nailed a few in to secure the bottom of the drawer. In summary, if you're in need of a small table at an affordable price, this does nicely. I wouldn't recommend it though if you're needing something to withstand heavy items.
