    remote isn't great

    I bought this even though it's not one of the major brands because Acer makes good monitors and PCs/Parts.  It's not as 'polished' technically as the more expensive brands, but is very happy in our basement man cave/rec room where it is fine for Wii and TV usage.  Hooked to a PC (with a good PC graphics card - the generic card didn't do the right resolution) the picture is great - text is good, images look nice.  A plus is that it auto-senses the PC being off and turns itself off when the PC is turned off.

    Speakers are 'ehhh, okay', remote is 'ehhh, okay', colors needed a bit of fiddling to look nice.  Overall though, with a PC or as a second TV (maybe even a first) you'll be very happy if cost is important and you pay less than for a more famous brand.

    I've had it about 6 months at the time of writing...

    for the money it 's a very nice tv . I would buy it again. it's good price over all . and the sound is also good . we got it for the kids to play wii on it .and they love it great tv.

    No universal remote code.

    This is a great TV! We prchased it to replace the TV in our bedroom and we were plesantly surprised at the quality! 1080 Picture is crystal clear and the color is awesome! It has LOST of inputs including PC Video and sound! I have my netbook hooked up to it with a wireless keyboard and mouse and it is GREAT! The kids love it for their Wii as well. Great value great quality and SUPER easy setup!

    My only issue is there are no remote codes for my Direct TV Universal remote, other than that A+++
