Don't expect $399 features from $99 unit March 02, 2009
Overall this is a great unit for a student or families on a budget. The units 4.3 inch screen is easy to read, in turn better to work the touch screen with. Directions are clear and accurate with early warning in regards to turns. Would make a great Graduation present or a gift for that first time driver. The 1 draw back is the POI in regard the the restaurants. We tried to locate 3 restaurant on a recent trip with no luck. So we are going to try to update it and see what happens. Aside from that is is worth $99, but far from $399

It' ok, but...... January 01, 2009
I received this as a Christmas gift and it worked fine for the first day, then some of the screens froze and the voice started to be garbled. I returned this to K-Mart, said it was defective and with no questions asked exchanged it for the same make and model. This one works as advertised. However, it only has 1.6 million POI's instead of 6 million and the map is outdated right out of the box and that is understandable as the economy is changing so rapidly, but, with no promise from Nextar that updates will be available. I like the larger screen, but I would have opted for a smaller screen from a different manufacturer that incuded updates had I purchased this mysef as I had done some research over the last several months. Anyway, it is a good, not great, entry level GPS, but unless Nextar makes huge improvements my next unit, will not be Nextar.

Nextar GPS doesn't compare to the competition September 27, 2010
Terrible GPS.. I don't like it at all. The maps were outdated and took me on strange "scenic" routes. I bought one because I liked my friend's GPS. If I were you I would stick with one of the more popular GPS manufacturers. You'll thank me later.

I used this product 3 times with only one of the times having sucess. The 4th time i tried to use it and it froze up completely. It has not turned on since. If you decide to purchase this product, please be aware that you might be purchasing a product that will work a couple of time and then clunk out on you as soon as the 60 days are up to return or replace it. PLEASE keep your reciept because k mart will not exchange or refund your product even if its the next day without your receipt, even if the product is defective ( no matter how much you paid for it). I would advise to purchase this product at a different store if you decide you want it. This way, if it turns out to be defective ( and it more than likely will), you can at least exchange it or get a gift card for the amount you purchased it for.

First one i bought was dead took it back to K-mart they gave me another one no problem i use this to find locations all over the state for festivals an many weekend use it to find address for garage sales has not failed me yet one happy camper
