    Bedroom space-saver June 19, 2009

    I bought this to replace my 13 inch bedroom TV. It fits in the same amount of space, and includes a great DVD player! The only drawback I found was the fact that the base only allows a 20 degree downward tilt. I had to put shims under the base to get the optimium viewing angle from my bed, since my wall-mounted TV shelf is 6 feet above the floor!

    Careful with "Refurbs" June 29, 2009

    My family purchased this product in December 2008 and discovered too late that this refurbished TV had not in fact been refurbished. Although the TV was working, The DVD player was not. Upon closer inspection we found a DVD stuck inside the player. We complained to Sylvania and their service provider, Funai, to no avail as the unit was now out of full warranty and the labor would have been at least $175 to install a replacement DVD player. Eventually I called K-Mart corporate and they were kind enough to offer a solution that I think will work for us. My advice is to make sure that you thoroughly check out any purchase as soon as you receive it, and know that although you may have to jump through several hoops if you have a problem, ultimately K-Mart is a reasonable company to deal with if you are willing to take it up the chain of command.

    bought this for son to watch movies on and he loves it. it has a great picture and worth the price and easy to use. my 3 year old knows how to work the remote and make the the videos come on and go off!

    I held my breath when I decided to buy a 'refurbished' television. I however must say that having bought this items 2 months ago, there has been no problems and it works like new. I trust K-Mart and will buy more stuff from them.
