Sylvania 19 inch LCD television April 02, 2011
Exceptionally clear picture, good sound and it is a large enough picture for viewing in the bedroom,den or kitchen. We also love the look and the stand which is more stable than a lot of other televisions this size. I am very confortable sitting in front of this television for long periods without any eye strain. I hooked it up without any problems as the directions were really easy. I would recommend it any time for some one to purchase. Enjoy! Arlene

one star only because I have to. August 28, 2009
I bought a Sylvania TV model LC225Sl9 from K-Mart in October of 2008 and it died in August of 2009. I called Sylvania and they told me the only thing they could (or would) do is have me take or send the TV to an "authorized repair center" the closest of which was about 60 miles from my home. They told me I would have to pay for all the labor charges (and shipping, since I can't see to drive) and they would pay for the parts. I argued that since the TV was only 10 months old, they should either refund my money or give me a new TV. I called Sylvania again the following day and they were rude and told me the same thing as the previous day. I then emailed K-Mart customer service and explained the situation. K-Mart emailed me right back and said that they were willing to do the right thing... they asked me for a contact number. I sent them a contact number and they emailed me again and said that the store manager would contact me. He did... the very next day and told me to bring the TV in to the store and he would give me a full refund. The whole point of all this is to say that, in my opinion, Sylvania products suck... but not nearly as much as their customer service. K-Mart, on the other hand, stood by a regular customer and did what any fair, honest, right-minded business organization should do. Consequently, I will continue to shop at K-Mart, but if I ever buy another Sylvania product, I hope somebody shoots me in the head!
