you don't need to spend a lot of money to get a good iron like t
I am a sewer. I need a good iron that responds quickly to the many fabrics I sew. The Sunbeam Classic Iron has these qualities plus! I was thrilled that the price was very afforable. It is the right weight...not too heavy, not too light. I like the teflon coating on the bottom of the iron. This makes for easy gliding. The cord is out of the way. It is versatile, so it can become a steam iron or a dry iron. Also, I like the automatic thiry minutes without use shut off feature. All in all, its a great little iron for a great little price!

"Classic" iron doesn't work like one
Was working fine for a few uses and then decided to steam only on occasion. Sometimes pressing the shot of steam button gets it going, but I should'nt have to. When it does it isn't much. Now I'm stuck with it as I've had it for more than 90 days. : ( I recommend buying a different model.

Works well. I rate it only a 4 because the automated shut off does shut off after 30 minutes but this happens even when I am using it. Unfortunately your hand covers the reset button, so you can't always see it flashing and telling you its off until you notice the heat is gone.

Worst iron I've ever owned
After owning this iron for about 2 months it started shutting off while I was still using it. After about 6 months, it started leaking water. I just finished ironing a pair of pants and a shirt. My ironing board cover is soaking wet and my pants have wet spots. Now I'm going to the store to buy a new iron....any iron but this one.

No more burning my shirts, it shuts off when not in use, no matter how long I press or leave it on my shirt NOT a mark, I juts love it.
