About six months ago, I purchased this set of knives for use at our cabin up north. As the title to this review says, these are really decent knives and at the price, especially when they go on sale, it would be hard to find a better set of knives. The wooden block is solid wood, not a cheap pieced together 'block' that I've been seeing lately. The knives are heavy enough to make me feel safe that it won't slip out of my hands when I'm cutting through a substantial piece of meat. The six steak knives did not impress me when I first looked at them because they are not serrated, but they glided right through 1.5" thick porterhouses without any problem whatsoever--I was very pleasantly surprised! The only negative thing that I can come up with is that they are not the best looking knives in the world, but I don't care because they do the jobs that they were made to do very well. 5 stars easy.

Nice cutlery set, sharp knives, and sturdy wooden block. Looks great with the granite counter tops! Great buy, great product.

I needed to replace some old knives that were in our kitchen, and decided to buy these knives. While they are not top of the line knives, they are good for the price I paid. They feel comfortable to hold and relatively well balanced. I would have loved to see them forged instead of stamped, but for the price I understand why they are only stamped. So far (after about a half a year of use) they have been holding their edges well.

I got this for my sister as a housewarming gift. And they loved it! I hear them mention it everytime I call them now! This was by far one of the best last minute gifts I have ever given spur of the moment! Especially since I live in Wisconsin and she lives in Hawaii, the buy online pick up in store option was the most conveniant to save on shipping and so she was able to pick it up the next day after work!

I really needed new knives and I heard that Chicago Cutlery was the best brand so I swooped in around Black Friday time and got this set for 20 bucks! I love these knives but the bigger blades weren't very sharp in my opinion. I used to be a cook and got to work with some very nice knives and I would say all but two of the knives lived up to my standards.

Before purchasing this set of Chicago Cutlery knives, I had dull knives that were not very efficient. I have had this knife set for three years now and they are still very sharp. I would recommend this to a friend.

I use these knives as a everyday set. They are good knives and I am glad to have them. As with all knives, if left sitting in water they will be damaged. They clean up nicely and feel nice to hold. I would recommend them.

This is a nice set for the price. I use daily and works well for me.

Nice knives. Hard to get in block if you are using it under a cabinet. Fits the hand well.
