Kenmore  1.1 cu. ft. Countertop Microwave Oven, Red

I purchased this in the store 2 months ago. Went to use it the other day and it has totally stopped working. I tried 4 different outlets in the house. I am very disappointed, but hopeful that the store will help me with it.

I had troubled finding a 1100 watt in red. It works great.

I just received this microwave. Opened the box, took out the turntable, and voila! Red microwave, except that the door is almost burgundy, much darker than the rest of the oven. So, it's going back -- it won't even get plugged in.

Bought on Jan 6th, used just for reheating foods. On Feb 24th was reheating soup and the microwave would not shut off. Unplugged for 10 mins replugged and it still started up as soon as I shut the door again. Store will not take it back or exchange it.

The only thing that was disappointing about the oven is that you have to open the door from under there is no handle or push button to open that is really not good. the color is great and it works well so far. I have not tried all of the buttons yet but so far all that I have tried work well.

Bought this item on Nov 2, 2012 and brought it home so excited to have a Kenmore product and the color was perfect to bring a little ping to the kitchen. As we were using it, I noticed an odor coming from the back which smell funny. Everyone told me that it was the "New" smell, so I went with that, but still kept an eye on it with a gut feeling that something just wasn't right. On Christmas day, I used it to heat up some sweet potato and set the timer as directed on the box. Previous to that I only heated up small things like a cup of tea. After 5 minutes of continuously being on, I looked at the microwave and smoke was pouring out of the back...yes,,,it caught on fire. It was quickly unplugged and taken right out the door. I called Kmart and they said bring it back and they would replace it. When I got to Kmart, they didn't have it in stock so I ended up getting a refund. I took this as a warning and am in the process of buying a different microwave.

My previous microwave died after about 11 yrs. of use. I wanted another 1 that was similar in size and wattage. I got this on sale for under $55. The colors great but I notice when I cleaned the outside some of the red transferred onto the paper towels. Also was a plastic burning smell the first dozen times I used it. That smell has stopped. I don't feel it cooks as hot as my previous microwave but that's not a big deal. When this is on sale I would recommend it, if you have to pay full price you may want to check out other options.

1st unit - the interior light lasted about a month. K-Mart replace unit and it works great

This microwave works really well. Its very powerful. Its a good size for me because I mainly use it for reheating things. My last microwave was HUGE and was really just a waste of counter space. If you have a big family and cook meals in your microwave, you might need a bigger one than this but its perfect for me.
