Bought this dish drainer to replace an old one and was hoping the Rubbermaid brand would mean quality. Found it flimsy and the configuration was better. Would be much better if it was made of thick, quality stainless steel and the feet were removed for something sturdier.

I replaced my old drainer recently and dislike this one immensely. Very cheaply made. Feels like the glass holders are going to bend from the weight of a glass on them. The drainer doesn't hold much and I don't like where the silverware holder is located. Big waste of money. Also hate the drain board. Whoever thought it was a good idea to change them so the wide side drains into the sink. I feel like the whole drainer is in the way and if I put glasses on the holders, they are in the way when I'm washing the dishes. Very awkward all the way around. I like the old style that the drain mat holds the drainer the long way and not the width of it. Very poor design. Hope to find a better replacement. I guess that was money down the drain!

I recently purchased a new dish drainer to replace my old Rubbermaid drainer that I've had for over 25 years. Wasn't anything wrong with it but I wanted to match a new color scheme. I still can't believe that Rubbermaid would put their name on such a inferior product. The wire is half the size of that on my old drainer. Feels like I could bend it in half with my bare hands. So disappointed with this item.

We've had issues for years trying to find the perfect drainer. The problem was three legs were at the corners, the fourth was off set to accommodate the silverware holder. Since we keep it in the sink for drainage, it always wobbled. We had to devise a way to keep it level. That solution did't work well either. After spotting this drainer on the store shelf, we knew it was perfect. What a happy day to be excited with something so simple. We did a happy dance and gave hugs all around. What a "PERFECT" drainer.

We purchased a drainer and mat. Both are of hard plastic and not suitable. This drainer is poorly made. Too many utensils fall through and I have had small dishes fall through. It is too short. Like the corner drainer I had for years. Why change a success? We are taking both back and asking for a refund.

1) The chrome must be very thin because the unit exhibits rust within a month. 2) The utensil (knife, fork, etc.) holder does not have any "ribs" at the bottom so the utensils slice across and into the holder. With ribbing at the bottom of the utensil holder, the utensils would only slide next to the nearest rib and stop.

I had an old Rubbermaid dish drainer that lasted for about 25 years. When it finally became too decrepit to use, I purchased a new Rubbermaid dish drainer. It's a tremendous disappointment. The slats go the wrong direction so the bowls fall over the silverware or, if you put them the other direction, they fall down until you have about three in a row. Certainly the Rubbermaid engineers could have done better than this! The silverware holder could have been put on the other end of the dish drainer, which would have solved the problem or the slats could tilt the other direction.

We had similar rubbermaid dish drainer which lasted for a long time. It was beige in color with rounded top corners and two spoon holders which hung on outside of the rack. We really liked it. The new rack has mitered corners at the top which looks good but is not functional as larger plates can't fit in reduced width at ends. New rack has no horizontal wire about an inch above the bottom like the old ones and space between some of the wires is too wide. Smaller items like juice glass and small cotainers tend to fall out from wider open spaces. Also added horizontal wire will keep glasses placed in glass holders up from the bottom tray. There is only one spoon holder which is not adequate if you have more spoons and other items. Also spoons tend to slide at the bottom and fall sideways. Some cross stiffeners as in older baskets will prevent this. Spoon holders hang on the inside and reduce the space for dishes and or pots to fit in the dish rack. New dish drainer appears good but is not functional like old one.

I recently replaced my old Rubbermaid dish drainer with this newer model. I don't like it at all. My largest complaint is with the long silverware drainer. The corner squarish one on my old drainer was much better. Also the drain holes in this one are too large/long. I cut up a sponge and placed it in the bottom of the utensil holder to prevent the tips of my knives and the handles of my silverware from falling through. Because there are no upright support bars behind the utensil holder it flops forward toward the dishes when it is full. Also I think the dish separators are too wide and I agree with other reviewers who said some of the space beside the separators is wasted. Unfortunatly, there is not a lot of choice when shopping for a dish drainer now days. Color is also an issue. This drainer only comes in black or white, I believe. I would have preferred something in bone/beige.

Dish rack is not what it used to be. I think they should have taken the stainless steel dish rack & placed wire coating inside. Rubber feet should be closed to prevent mold growth. Sliverware cup takes up space so you can put less dishes in rack. The paint on the bar on which the silverware cup hangs, it cracks if you put too many spoons in there. I like the plastic dish rack where there are 2 silverware cups are outside the dish rack. Drain board needs to be higher in order to drain water. I put a stick under my board. Maybe I will buy the plastic dish rack .
