AWESOME
I absolutely love this sewing machine I am so happy with the turn out of it. Its not complicated for first time users and I loved it so much I bought one for my neice who is a beginner sewer and its pefect for her!!!
Simple and easy bests describes this product and the brand name Singer is one of the best!!

Hard to set up
The machine instructions are difficult to follow. Pictures but few explanations about the meaning. I spent 5 hours trying to get the machine to sew a straight simple line. Finally did it. Had many sewing machins in my long life but this was the most frustrating to get going. See how it goes as I get used to it. Only the first day.

I bought this for my daughter who makes scarves and sells them. She now makes them ten times faster (costing me more, due to more fabric) but it has made her happy.

It is basic but gets simple sewing jobs done
Pros. It makes a nice seam Cons: Bobbin is diffacult to install with it inserting in a virtical mannor I had to lay the machine on its side to get it in place. Would have been better if it droped in from the top. but over all its not a bad machine for the price. Pay for Basic you get Basic.

The price is right!
I had a sewing project and my old machine decided to putter out. I needed a machine for some basic sewing. This machine is the perfect back up. My only objection is the bobbin case (old school). Everything else is great.

AWESOME FOR SMALL PROJECTS AND BEGINNERS
I got it in two business days from K-mart. Awesome service; they kept me informed and sent me tracking number in less than one day. Arrived well packed and in perfect condition. I took a bit to figured out why the bobbin would not stay in place but other than that it was really easy. I have a bit of knowledge on how to sew because my mom had a singer sewing machine which I used when I was really young. So I figured out really easy the process. If you do not know anything about sewing machines you might want to see the DVD (included) with the idea of how most of these machines work. The ring that holds the bobbin in place comes apart and you need to attach it otherwise the bobbins will fall off completely and brake the needles. That ring has two dents which are a guide of how to place it in the right position and snap the black plastic holders on them. Easy machine to work with and start. Great for young learners and beginners. It has a light that helps your sewing really clear. A+
