Hamilton Beach  The Scoop™ Single-Serve Coffeemaker

I have a keurig but bought this to be able to use other coffees that do not come in k-cups. It works great.

Small profile, easy to use, easy to clean, good coffee.

Excellent way to make one fresh cup of coffee. The singleserve scoops are great made of stainless steel and the unit includes two of them. Everyone appears to be purchasing the Kureigs (sp?)but in my opinion the cost is not effective and with this coffee maker you can carefully control the strength of your cup of coffee.

You make 1 cup at a time. It's fabulous. No more throwing away a half pot of coffee. My husband loves it.

I don't always get as much coffee as water I put in, but it brews fast and the flavor is great.

Stylish and small, this little critter works in well on my countertop. Easy to use. My partner is kind of all thumbs when it comes to things which require more than a simple on button and he had no problems at all. Quick brew. The only time it took longer than 2 minutes was when it was 45* F in the house and the water from the tap was in the upper 30*s. Easy clean up. A simple tap of the upside-down filter scoop and a quick rinse and it was ready for the next cup. The secondary, fine mesh filter, which they recommend a weekly cleaning, only needs the quick rinse. And for less frequently needed deep cleaning, just pop them in the dishwasher. I do agree, however, that, for the price, a matching travel mug as pictured in MOST of the promotional advertisement should have been included. Those with a touch of the OCD, like myself, might satisfy their need for tidiness with a paper towel in the catch basin to absorb any dripping, which is minimal.

makes the best coffee because it let's you use your own coffee , only thing I can think to make it better is if they put put a water heater in it .

Bought this for my "coffee drinking" hubber for Christmas. Had been eyeing a Kurig for a couple of years, but the intial expense and the cost of "K" cups deterred me. After further research, found this machine and similar cheaper versions. Went with this one because of the reviews. Got this model because of the BOLD option. My husband loves it!!! Says it makes an awesome cup of coffee. Very convenient, too. Less time than stopping at a drive thru and grabbing coffee!

I ran 6 tumblers of water through this machine before brewing coffee, the coffe tasted like chemicals and over heated plastic. Called the manufacturer and was told to exchange it for another one, had the same results. Returned it for a complete refund. So as to be fair to the manufacturer I bought another single cup maker from another manufacturer and had the same results but worse.
