    We bought this vacuum about a year ago and overall we love it. It pushes easily, it fits under low furniture, it turns on a dime. The filters can be washed and re-used, no bags, belts or filters to buy and replace. My only complaint is how the hose is accessed. You have to first unwind the entire cord and then lift it out of the handle. That means everytime I want to use it to just pick something quickly I have to rewind the 25 foot cord. This doesn't seem like a big deal, but with 3 kids and a dog this often happens several times a day. This really feels like a design oversight on this otherwise excellent vacuum.

    The worst vacuum cleaner I have ever had! April 26, 2010

    I have been keeping house for 50 years and this is the worst vacuum I have ever had.  Will not pick up so much as a piece of fuzz or thread off the floor.  Pet hair?  Forget it!  Tryed to get the Dyson Co. to take it back, forget that.  Am still paying on it as it is only 3 months old  and will now be buying a Hoover again this week.

    I had an older dc24 and wanted to upgrade to something that would manuver more easily. The good: This product does not dissappoint. This does turn on a dime, picks up everything well. I have a 120lb short haired breed dog (boxer/dame/english pointer mix) and this vaccum picks up his hair without any dificulty. I have all laminate, tile floors (geothermal heat) so and no carpeting. If you don't have carpets and have pets this would be the cheaper alternative to the dyson pet model. I love the 1 step quick release wand. This is a major time saver and improvement over my earlier model. The attachments are compact and easy to attach. The cleaner had is also low profile so it fits under the overhang on my cabinets. This is also a nice upgrade. Much lighter weight and easy to carry if needed. What I would change: I wish the carpet brush bar did not come on automatically everytime you turn the vaccum on. The cord is not as long as it was on my origional dyson- I had to replug it in several times when vaccuming and never had to do that with my older one. Also speaking of cords I would make it retractable- there is nothing more annoying then having to wrap the cord up. I would have given 4.75 stars if it were an option- my only negatives are the cord and price.

    I have never spent this much on a vacuum in my life, but the idea of the ball wheel and the cannister that does not require a bag drove my purchase.  I have been satisfied with the vacuum.  It's easy to turn and guide and I love not having to go to the store and figure out what vacuum bags I need since it doesn't require the bags.  My third favorite thing about the vacuum is the attachments and hose which are accessable on the vaccuum cleaner.  So you just lift a cap in the handle, pull the hose out and the attachment is right beside it on the vacuum.  I have found this very convenient.  However using the attached hose can be difficult at times as it is kind of stiff.  All in all I am very happy with my purchase.

    Incredible machine.  This picked up so much it was scarey!  After vacuuming I thought I had shampooed.  Extremely happy with this vacuum and would buy it again in a heartbeat!
