Bissell  Perfect Sweep™ Dual Brush Sweeper, Silver

THIS IS EASY TO USE AND DOES AT GREAT JOB. I GET IT OUT AND USE IT EVERY DAY IN AT LEAST ONE ROOM. WE L IVE AT THE BEACH AND IT GETS THE SAND UP GREAT. AS FAR AS THE HANDLE COMING OFF AT TIMES. WELL ALITTLE SUPER GLUE TOOK CARE OF THAT PROLEM AND IT HAS NEVER COME OFF AGAIN. I WILL NEVER BE WITHOUT ONE OF THESE THINGS FROM NOW ON.

I bought this to do quick pickups until I get a cannister vac. This works great and uses NO electricity! At first I thought it was flimsy because the handle kept falling apart, BUT then I read the directions and it says to tap the handle sharply (on a protected surface) to set the sections in place. THEN you screw it onto the base. Once I did that, I had no problems. My house is all tile floors except the bedroom. This does a great job picking up everything I've tried to pick up; spilled potting soil, cereal crumbs, even bird seed that I had spilled. The tile has grooves in it and once in a while i would have to change directions to pick up something that was in the groove (like a tiny piece of paper) but that was rare. I was even impressed at how close to the wall and the furniture i could get with it. It picks up stuff right along the wall and baseboards. It also has a little comb snapped on the handle to comb out the brushes when you need to. I know it's not supposed to replace a vacuum, (just for in between and quick pickups) but I'll be back to let you know how long it takes me to wear this thing out!

I have only GOOD things to say about my 5 year experience with this Bissell sweeper! Those not familiar with the ones used back in the "good ol' days" may be expecting the action of a vacuum cleaner. This is not a vacuum cleaner, but like the sweepers of old, they are for a quick pick-up of the surface between vacuuming. Ours gets the most use right before company comes- you know, those that show up without much notice? A quick once-over on the carpet or floor and the surface litter is picked up, the rug is "fluffed" and you're ready to greet your guests with a smile. It works great for small objects, you know, cereal spills, dry dog food, pet hairs, thumb tacks, lima beans, you name it. We couldn't do without ours, & were thrilled to discover that the old-fashioned sweepers from our childhood have been re-born! p.s. We have had no problems with the handle. The sweeper is very sturdy & has given us many years of care-free service.

I was extremely disappointed in this sweeper! It did not pick up anything!! It only managed to get a couple pet hairs stuck to it from static. I purchased it for quick pick-ups in my toddlers' play area. I couldn't see any difference on the floor after using it and when checking to empty it there was absolutely nothing to empty. I really thought this would be perfect, but now I'm afraid to even try a different sweeper.

works great, reminds me of the ones my mom and grandmother used years ago, didnt even know they still made them until I saw them on line at Sears !

though this would be a good sweeper I had a big one years ago and it was great. This sweepers handle keeps falling apart I don't know if it sweeps good or not I have never got to use it because when I put it in the floor the handle falls apart.It was a great dissapointment I had threw out the box or I would have taken it back to the store. So I just got a swiffer carpet flick It is great, good handle has laches so it does not fall apart So your prefect sweeper is just sitting in a closet usless.
