Best toy for little boy ages 3 & up, great quality, Price Right! December 29, 2011
I baught this as a birthday present for my son. he was 5 then he is 8 now and still plays with this train. i have had many other little boys over as i do child care and seems all they want is this train, its bright, big enough track yet not to big, it anazes me how something so simple as a train going round and round can be so entertaining but it is. there are also a few vehicles on the train which DO come off the carts and can be actually played with like any other truck car and so on, there not small like hotwheels either but there not chunky, they seem to fit easily and comfortably in small childrens hands and take on some heavy duty boy imaginary play. Dont get me wrong as a mother to 5 girls on top of my 1 son my girls love this thing to. i have recommended this product to friends and family over the years and purchased over and over as a gift.. the price is inexpensive and well worth every penny.

CAT Construction Express Train cheaply made but cute design December 29, 2011
I got this as a Christmas gift for my grandson. Not worth the $40. It looks nice going around the track as long as you dont touch it. But it you attempt to touch a car in any way the cars become derailed and you are constantly trying to put the cars back on the track. Getting the wheels on the track is a little tricky also. As you try to align the back wheel on the track the front wheel will come off the track. It is made of a lightweight plastic which I imagine is why it falls off the track alot.
On the plus side, the cars hook up to each other real easy and the details on the train are a nice touch. The construction cars work properly and my grandson has fun playing with them.

FANTASTIC toy! November 04, 2011
My little boy received this for Christmas, and because of another review, we had EXTRA batteries on hand. I knew he would love it, and so the thought of spending a little money on batteries outweighed that. We shouldn't have worried. He played with it for hours and the batteries never died. He frequently will set it up for days at a time and will spend hours running the train around the track. Since last Christmas, we have replaced the batteries once, and he plays with it often.
The engine train will go backwards and forwards, and the force of the train moving will hook up the other cars. This is a great gift for any kid that loves trains and heavy equipment toys.
