looks good but doesn't last
I bought this truck for my sons birthday because he had been asking for it for so long. I am so disappointed with it! In the box it works fine because I guess its on a sample battery. As soon as we opened it, the battery had run out so we couldn't even test it, we had to charge the main 9.5v battery in an outlet for 8 hours. Its very frustrating to give your child the present he always wanted then he can't use for 8 hours he has to just stare at it ! Then after it charged for 8 hours, it had flashing lights, horn and everything worked fine for about 8 minutes. Suddenly the lights weren't flashign anymore and the horn stopped working. It did drive back and forth but the lights & horn did not work at all. It has a hair trigger which means the slightest touch sends it running into the wall. The instruction sheet says to avoid banging it into things, but I would like to see you try to NOT bang it into anything the first time you press that button. The battery charge only lasts 15 minutes. I looked in the instruction sheet and it has a 30 warranty. I bought it before my sons birthday of course and luckily I am 1 week shy of the waranty expiring but the company says I have to ship it back to them to get it replaced. I have to pay shipping and my son loves looking at it so much that he doesnt want to part with it to get it fixed. I'm stuck swith an expensive toy that doesn't work to my expectations.
