      A reliable workhorse!
I just bought my second Craftsman cordless screwdriver after the first one provided 16 years of reliable service, even when I pushed it to do heavy-duty jobs on a regular basis! I have arthritis in my hands so I can't use heavy or bulky tools. This screwdriver is wonderful for me to do household tasks and minor repairs! The screwdriver is lightweight but sturdy. It fits nicely in your hand and you can adjust the angle to fit your needs and the space. There is also a light on the screwdriver in case you are working in a dark space. The kit comes with lots of different sized screwdriver bits, an extender, an extra bulb for the light and a nice carrying/storage case! This screwdriver makes putting together furniture so much easier and fixing things a breeze! It's a huge help with so many projects and a bargain at the price! I got so much use out of it for so many years that there was no way I'd be without one. I highly recommend this screwdriver!

      Average performance, annoying weakness
I bought two of these. I like the fact it can swivel from straight to angled for those tight places. It has sufficient power to handle light duty fastnening. The light is gimmicky, but handy now and then. The reason I can't recommend this is due to the flimsy, easily broken bit retainer spring. Both drivers' bit retainer spring broke in <10 uses, and now the bits fall out easily. Very annoying each time you tilt the driver downwards, the bit just falls right out. I have to use a bit of tape to now snug the bit in socket. Sears doesn't sell spring parts seperately.

This tool helps me a lot when I install equipment . I usually am woeking in dark basements and withn the light option it is very helpfull. Also the ability to change from a straigh shaft to a drill like tool it comes in handy for me. This screwdriver is powerful enough to do any job I'm doing.

      Nope

Its way too big and bulky. Exactly what you wanted to avoid buying this instead of using the 3+ drills you already own. The small hex bits get stuck down in the slot and they dont like to come out. It cant be used as a drill without hex bits because its a hex slot and not a secure tightening clamp like normal drills have. (you know the drills this should have replaced if it wasnt 3/4ths their weight). Im not even sure it could power thru a tough screw cause I have it set all the way to work with certain elecronics? It did work well for longer screws on an electronic device (after I had to angle it and then later remove the screw bit with pliers to get it out the screwdriver) .

      great driver

great cordless screwdriver for small projects.it has a torque setting and a light .I use it for building and maintaining remote control trucks and buggys.it is a little slow but that a good thing so you don't crack small parts.

      So far so good

I bought this item to replace another Craftsman cordless screwdriver I owned for approximately 10 yrs which worked great until the rechargeable battery died. I have yet to use this item, but seems sturdy and well built and good for household use.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

5 stars on everything except the most importand feature

Bought this unit several years ago to carry in our RV. It is fabulous in just about every regard. I really enjoyed its versatility, control, clutch, light, kit box, and feel in the hand. But within a year, every single time I needed it aboard the RV it was not there for me. The Ni-Cd battery pack just isn't up to laying around for months. Without fail, I'd have a loose cabinet screw or a light to remove while we were on a trip, and the unit was deader than a door nail. I'd have to either do the job by hand or wait for the unit to charge. That's not what I bought a Craftsman tool for, and it sure isn't what I'd call reliability. Then it got to where even if I'd had it on the charger overnight, if I needed it 6 hours later it was dead. I'll go to Batterys Plus and have a new battery pack built rather than just toss this, but I've already bought a new Craftsman unit with lithium batteries for the RV. It should hold up against long storage times between uses and charges; all my other lithium devices do. But it isn't as versatile and user friendly as the 11139 and I wish Craftsman would re-engineer the 11139 with lithium power - now THAT would be a real machine!

This is my second one. First one lasted over 10 years!!!

After more than 10 years of excellent service, the battery on my first one of these (black model) would not hold a charge. It was more cost effective to buy a whole new unit than replace the battery. This is the best cordless screwdriver hands-down! Tons of torque, allows for hand tightening of screws and the battery lasts longer than my projects ever do! Sure hope they still make this 10yrs from now when I need another! This is one of my go to tools in my garage!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Craftsman 3.6 volt cordless screwdriver is very disappointing

Having owned several Craftsman 19.2 volt cordless tools I had high expectations for this cordless screwdriver. While the pivoting handle is very convenient, the battery life can only be described as absymal. I've only had this tool for about 6 months but I need to recharge after every use and I only use it for very light duty jobs. I have a Dewalt 18volt impact driver for heavier work so the Craftsman is not overstressed at all. I'm going to dump this tool and try the Black and Decker 6 volt driver which has had very good reviews.
