      I LOVE THIS GRILL!!!
I owned two Weber grills in the past, but due to my financial situation, I thought I would try this grill from Sears (I got it on sale for $34 in March of '08). I knew from the description and my inspection that the features were good -- porcelain coated steel, chrome plated grill, ash catcher and kettle shape -- but I am absolutely thrilled with how well this grill has performed! I lived in Corpus Christi, TX and the humidity was terrible, but this little grill still shows no rust at all. The ash catcher on my Weber grills started to rust almost immediately. I've used this grill approximately 40 times and the only sign of wear is a slight indentation in the charcoal grid. I moved to Cincinnati, OH and the grill showed no ill effects from the move -- very sturdy and durable. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I almost look forward to the day this grill falls apart so that I may buy another! I hope that Sears keeps offering this fine product long enough for me to buy another -- might be a couple more years, though!

      Not Bad For The Price
I was looking for an economical grill and, well, I think I got what I paid for. No harm, no foul. Overall, I'm happy with it. Putting this thing together was kind of a bear, though. Do know that you'll need someone to assist. It's not difficult, you'll just need an extra set of hands and someone to help you decipher the obviously translated from Chinese to English instructions. Pay special attention to the leg bracings when putting it together as the instructions leave out one step entirely (mine are missing the top braces as I was not about to take it all apart and start over once I realized that I still had these pieces left...no worries, though, as it holds up just fine without them). That having been said, the grill itself is a little wobbly (this could have something to do with the missing braces, of course). Nothing alarming and I've cooked on it with no issues. Other than that, what's to say? It's a charcoal grill! ha! It gets the job done. This is not something for a "hardcore griller". We love to cook out but my friends who consider themselves outdoor master chefs would scoff at this thing. However, if you're looking for an economical grill with plenty of cooking area, this one will do the trick. I ordered mine online. It shipped fast and came in impeccable packaging (not one tear or rip and and nothing damaged). Great service as can always be expected from Sears/KMart. I'd recommend it....just keep the kids out of the room as you assemble it. You're bound to use one or two expletives in the process....trust me.

      Excellent Grill for the Price.

I needed to get a grill for my mother-in-law's place.   This fit the bill at $30.

Set-up : easy, took about 20 minutes which to me was especially easy b/c i was under pressure to get the grill going.

Quality: Only cooked on it twice thus far but everything is holding up. no rattling, very sturdy.  The ash-catcher is a little loose and doesn't fit too well, so while you're scrubbing the grate in-between the grilling, the thing does come loose.  You gotta just be aware that it might fall out.  Perhaps i got a bad one but i think it's the manufacturing.  The cooking grill surface is good, scraped and cleaned twice and it's holding up.

Ease of Use:  Generally good.  However, they have two prong attachments that link the cooking grate to the charcoal grate. I still have figured how to practically use it (allows you to bring the coals closer to the cooking surface). Concept is great, actually doing it with hot-ashed coals is a different matter).  I won't go into details but you'll know what i'm talking about once you get this thing going.  this is however not at all a deal breaker, it's just a "cool" option that just doesn't bloody work for me.

So anyhoo, it's a decent grill that will do the job.  however, i'm here to share the REAL story - getting those coals fired up in a jiffy.   This is no snake oil and you REALLY must buy this to really make your grill experience much much better.  Instead of pouring a gallon of lighter fluid and burning 2 copies of your sunday newspapers to start the fire. Get the Weber 7416 fire starter chimney.  ****** should have it for $14.99, *********, also the same price.  2 sheets of newspapers and your coals light up in about 10 minutes (red smoldering hot).   Now grilling with coals is a pleasure, not a pain in the toosh.  wish i had this 10 years ago and would have saved me $699 on a weber gas grill last year.

Great grill that lasts a long time!

Since Spring is here, I was outside getting some yardwork done and decided to check the condition of the grill. It's still in great shape, after three years of use (and forgetting to put it in the shed this winter!).

This grill was inexpensive but has proven to be a real winner! I've had much more expensive grills get rusty and become worthless after just a few years. This one is still going strong, and we use it a lot!

The large cooking service is wonderful for doing a whole meal -- meats, packets of potatoes and veggies. The ash bucket is convenient and easy to empty. It has nice large wheels that make it easy to move, too.

I think I paid about $35 on sale -- a REAL BARGAIN for the quality!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Charcoal kettle grill/I have enjoyed it so much. I love it!

i purchased  BBQ Pro 362 sq. in. Cooking Area Charcoal Kettle Grill last Summer and am very pleased with it.  I rarely use my propane grill anymore.  This grill is so convenient.  We enjoy many cookouts using this grill.

This is our third Weber charcoal grill and we just love them.

I just love our Weber charcoal grill. This is the third one we have had over many years.

This is not because of poor quality but because we used them to death.

      A step down

This SEARS kettle grill is nowhere near as nice as the one it is replacing which was a SEARS kettle grill. The older one was made by a different manufacturer and was much sturdier, the grates and handles that change the distance of the coals to the grill were made of much heavier gauge metal rod. The last one lasted four years of heavy use using real charcoal which burns very hot. I do not expect this one to last as long.

OK grill for someone who just wants a grill..

I got this grill and after an hour of assembly, I finally got it up and running. I did not like the fact that the instructions do not really explain assembly well, like the grill grate hanger things (I just left them off). It also doesnt tell you what tools you will need. Other than that, it worked well.. I was grilling a while later after assembly. I think its worth the money.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

I agree about the assembly. The one thing that gave me a hard time was the charcoal tray adjustment. The instructions do not explain this well. The charcoal tray HANGS from the adjustments. Also I don't remember seeing in the instructions that you will need tools. You will. A screwdriver (Philips head) and a wrench.

The large cooking area is great feeding my 5 kids.

The large cooking surface on this inexpensive charcoal grill is great for when my 5 kids pop in hungry and ready to eat. I just can't do as well with a gas grill, this is my idea of really cooking out....

      Somewhat Frustrating Assembly

This is a great grill and would have taken 30 minutes or less to put together but the hardware provided did not fit in the corresponding grill parts - namely, the screws to attach the legs were too big to fit in their tracks, so I had to improvise with random screws of my own. That was the only problem; once it is up and running, its a good, sturdy grill.

Worthy product, grill grid needs improvement

I got this grill for Christmas 2006 and have used it heavily since then. It is perfect for direct and indirect charcoal grilling and has produced many excellent meals for my family. The only downfall I have found in the grill is that after many high temperature cooks the carrying handles on the grill grid are starting to bend and feel quite flimsy. Not a major problem but one that could be addressed. Overall I would reccomend this grill. Sure beats dishing out $90 bucks for a Weber!

      Great and cheap

I've used this grill for a year now, as a replacement for a lifetime dedication to Weber charcoal grills. My attitude was if I did not like it, I'd pitch it. Still using it. Really like the ashes pan, the easy clean coated grill and the adjustable rack. For the money, this is a great buy.
