Pretty Good for the price
This is a very good tent for the price. I am a Boy Scout and this is one of the best tents I have ever used. It is very easy to set up, has a mud flap, and is very waterproof. It takes me 5-10 minutes to set up by myself, and is easy to take down. I used it through a rainy weekend, and I was dry both nights I was out camping. The only problem is that if you do not have a rain tarp underneath the tent, you will have puddles on the interior.

I needed a tent for my first backpacking trip and it needed to be cheap. After checking around on the net and seeing the reviews this tent got on here and at Sears, I bought it. Easy to set up and take down and it fit on a borrowed external frame backpack with no problem. The second night of camping it rained all night. While I didn't get soaked, I did get a little wet and there were puddles in the corners. Had I sealed the seams I think it would have kept most of the water out. Lesson learned. Seal the seams and spray it with some Camp Dry and for 25 bucks this cant be beat.

Great Little Tent

I got this tent to do some light camping. It fit all my gear, me and my dog just perfectly for a weekend. It's not made for heavy-duty camping and I wouldn't suggest it for more than two average-sized people unless they really liked each other, but it served my purposes perfectly. I was able to take it down in the dark and after letting it dry it fit back into the bag. I've never had a tent fit back into the bag before! If you're looking for a simple tent for a weekend trip, this is a great one!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Not for serious campers

I have used this tent about 5 or 6 times.... The good thing I will say about it is that the price is right for someone who doesn't camp frequently and doesn't want to invest in something more expensive. It is also very easy to set up - I have done it in the dark a few times and it only takes about 5 minutes if you have a helper. It's also a decent size for two people, and the foot lockers come in handy. Now the cons.... Every single time I have slept in this tent, I wake up soaked in dew and condensation. I've camped in it in the rain a few times and the tent offers no water protection at all, due to the very small rain fly and the fact that the seems aren't sealed. I'm talking major drips and puddles covering the floor, water leaking in through the corners, etc. The only thing that got us through the night was that we finally threw an extra tarp over top of it. Honestly, I can't wait to get a new tent so I never have to look at this thing again.

Great 1-2 adult tent

Bought this tent in May, was headed to a conference where it was $100/night to stay at the hotel or $55 for the weekend for a campsite to myself. (Even with buying them tent I still spent less than 1 night at the hotel, so I figured even if I could only use it once I was still ahead of the game!) The tent went up easily the first time in about 10 minutes (just before dark). The best part is an additional camping trip since then and i still love it! Even better - it easily folds and stores back into the bag it came in! I will advise if getting a mattress to use in it, get one that does not sit high... And you if you want room to move inside the tent, then a twin inflatable mattress will fit best. But this is a perfect option(as opposed to our 3room tent) when I am by myself camping with friends who have their own tents. Looking forward to more camping with this tent!

Light and compact!

If you are looking for a small good looking tent, you've found it. I purchased this for a single over night camping excursion and it worked perfectly. I was able to get a queen sized air matress inside too, albeit was very tight. You won't believe how small this folds up as well...it easily fit in my backpack. It's an incredible value at under $30!

Used it for a 7 Day Motorcycle Trip.

This tent was my house for 7 days.  It didn't rain on my trip, but I had a spray can of water sealer. It doesn't take long for one person to set it up. There's a lot of ventalation.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Sierra Dome Backpack Tent

I only have used this tent once, it was easy to setup in total darkness with a small flashlight, and easy to repack the next morning. Took on 2000 mile motorcycle trip, tent is a little light weight but served the purpose. Big enough for full size air mattress.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Northwest Territory Sierra Dome Backpack Tent

In my opinion the Northwest Territory Sierra Dome Backpack Tent was very very useful. My family LOVED it. We brought it camping and the kids slept in it. The only thing is it only sleeps 2 not 3 like it says it does. Backyard camping was also great. Overall I would say that the Northwest Territory Sierra Dome Backpack Tent was great and I still use it often today.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

nice tent but not as big as it claims to be

For the money a great tent but it is not as large as it claims to be, it is only 8x6 ft. I found the same tent in different colors on ****** for $50 and they specify it with 8x6 ft. I returned the tent because it is too small for me and my girlfriend (I'm 6'3" and skinny). In this tent I would have to sleep sideways and then there is not even enough room left to put a small duffle bag on the side of me. Also the zipper got stuck all the time but that could have probably been resolved by replacing the tent. The mesh covered part is quite large which is nice to have on a hot summer day. If you want a tent for 1-2 people I can recommend this tent as long as you are not very tall.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

just big enough

This tent is just the right size for 3 or 4 children. They have plenty of room for their sleeping bags and a few other belongings. It offers nice protection from rain and sun. It is sturdy enough to hold up through fairly strong winds. The kids love playing and sleeping in it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Good to stay

My brother bought it long time ago and he still use it.  I had the honor to stay in it the first time of use and I felt comfortable all the night.  It was easy to install and to store.  It accomodated four people easily.  Today, my brother uses it in the yard of his house and stay there with his children to get out of the routine.  His children enjoy it a lot.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

UPDATED - have had for two years and still going strong

I have had this tent for about two years now with moderate use over summer months and it's still holding up strong. There are no tears, no broken poles, and I can still get it to fit in the original bag for travel, which is a plus.

I have bolstered up the waterproof factor of the tent, however, with some seam sealer and silicone waterproofing spray - all of about $15 worth. This has freshened up the color as well, which is nice. Most importantly, it is as rugged as new and a much better weather shelter in the rain. I really went all out waterproofing the rainfly as well, since that was a bit lacking.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Tent Is Smaller Than Rated

This tent is very compact and light and is wonderful for backpacking and a single person or a couple just wanting to get away for a weekend. The material is durable and the price is an awesome deal! It is however rated for up to 3 people. If you were 3 children that would be possible. Even 3 small adults would not be at all possible with just bare necessities such as a sleeping bag and a pillow. There seems to be no waterproofing to it either. The morning we woke up there was a slight dew and we were drenched, which we laughed off. Had it came a rain storm, we would have drowned! I was not satisfied with this tent other than it's value and wouldn't recommend it for other than a quick overnight stay!

First time owner

Even though I got it today I tried it out in the backyard to see how the "rainfly" would hold to a little bit of water while my dad was inside it, he said "The rainfly keeps out the rain a bit. As long as we add a tarp or even a mat for the bottom of the tent so it will feel more like the floor at home." The weird part is that when dad an i tried to fit in the tent together, I barely even fit inside with him. After that we checked to make sure there was room for me and my gear, so honestly, there is enough room for me and my stuff but not for a second person or even a third person, but honestly getting a mat for the tent and that should help. The big thing that I found was that its very hard to get every part of the tent didn't fit back in its bag, so I bought another bag to put all the parts in, but the best part of this tent is that it does in fact come with its own stakes, but I felt best getting some spares items for the tent. Honestly, though the tent is jus what I need though to keep my stuff and me dry through out the night without having to wait for someone to come in and turn off the light at night, I can just go to sleep without worry.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
