Received the TV today. Really very nice looking. Picture is good and my son is enjoying playing the game on it. The only dislike is the sound. If it were in a bigger room, other than a bedroom, I would probably get a sound bar. Still a very nice TV. Will probable get one for the other bedroom.
Received as a Christmas gift in December 2012. I do not have cable (use Netflix, used Aereo, and live TV shows through my laptop). It remained sealed in the box. Bought a Chromecast last month and started streaming everything to the TV. Could tell immediately the sound was messed up. One movie was to loud and the next had to be turned up to max volume to hear someone speak. Continued to stream and yesterday I turned off the TV when I left the house and when I returned home 2 hours later it will not turn on. Have whole house surge protection and it is also plugged into a surge protector. When I hit the power button the light indicates the power is on but screen never turns on. Once powered on the only way to turn the power off is to unplug it. Searched online And this has been a major issue with proscan TVs since 2009. Only used a month but out of one year warranty, got no help. Offered to let me ship it to them on my own dime for $100. That is more than half what the TV cost. I feel sorry for these people posting positive reviews after having this **** for a night or week. They have a disappointing road ahead of them.
I have had this tv for less than a year and the color turned to a pink hue. In trying to rectify that I found that the tint had been greyed out. I called customer service and they said that was a default in that particular model and there was nothing that could be done. I now have a tv that is of no use to me. It's ridiculous not to have a tint adjustment. I would not purchase another Proscan electronic if my life depended on it.
I bought this tv when it was on sale for $179 and was not disappointed. The picture is good. The only thing that kept me from giving it 5 stars was the volume. It doesn't seem to be very loud, but not a big deal since it was for the kids bedroom.

I like the sharp picture and the stand its perfect for the top of my dressor. My daughter like the proscan that she brought one her self. The price was right, didn't hurt the pocket.
3 months after purchasing the Proscan TV from K-Mart, the TV will just turn off. Wait about 1-2 minutes and then turn it back on. This happens quite often repeatedly watching the tv. Researched on the internet and was told: The issue you describe is consistent with a power supply board issue. This is the board where the AC goes to. This problem may have occurred as a result of irregular power supply, or excess power supply or power surge. The TV is receiving current but cannot circulate or transfer the current to other necessary part of the TV because of the defective power supply board. Also a defective transformer can cause your TV not to power on. All these can be checked on the power supply board. But more often bad capacitors causes problem on the power supply board. I do not think the power board needs replacement, rather those defective capacitors is causing this issue. It costs more to fix the problem than it cost to buy the TV. Bottom line, since the overheating started after 2-3 months, K-mart says we have to go through Proscan and Proscan will not fix or repair the TV for free. This is the worst TV I have ever bought and next time I will do my homework before I purchase a TV from anywhere.

Overall pleased with this tv. Picture was great and the only issue was the sound quality. But that could be fixed with hooking up some speakers. Great for playing games on with a nice crisp picture. I would definitely purchase another Proscan product.

I bought this TV for my grandaughters bedroom, and it is outstanding! Very easy to set up, the picture is perfect but the best part is the sound, I have a mild hearing loss, and with this TV the words are not muffled, I can hear everything crisp and clear! Very pleased!!!
We got this tv on a holiday sale to upgrade our bedroom tv. It has nice picture and has a nice sleek design. The tv did not work with our DISH remote however so we have to keep two remotes out, but other than that...great for the price.
