Q.

It's really a four-step process:

  1. Create a group gift goal.
    Pick a gift recipient and choose gift items or set a target amount for an eGift Card. Contributions will be collected on an eGift Card for either type of gift.

  2. Invite contributors.
    Enter a customized note and email addresses of friends and family who will participate. We'll send the email request for you.

  3. Track contributions.
    You'll be able to track the progress of your Give Together event from Manage Section of Give Together. We'll email you with updates, too.

  4. Give your gift.
    Once everyone has pitched in, you can:

    • Forward the eGift Card to the recipient

    • Print the eGift Card to present to the recipient

    • Use the eGift Card to purchase a gift on Sears.com or in store

Why is it an eGift card, instead of an actual item?

We think an eGift Card gives you the most flexibility to either purchase an item, or allow the final recipient to do so. Our eGift Cards can be used to buy millions of items from Sears, Kmart, and Lands' End?online or in stores.

I was invited to participate, but I lost the link.

Enter your email address in the box under "Looking for an existing group gift?" If your email address isn't found, perhaps your invite was sent to a different email address than the one you entered. Try another email address that you use. If you still can't find it, try contacting the Organizer of the group gift.

What if I need to cancel an event?

If you need to cancel an event for any reason, you can do so from the event's manage page. In the upper left hand area of the page is a button labeled Delete Event”. If you've collected any contributions, you’ll need to redeem the balance before you can remove an event.

How do I invite new contributors?

Under your event's Manage page, you can add additional contributors. Just enter their name and email address to send them an invitation. Once they accept, they’ll be able to contribute to the event. You can add contributors any time during your event prior to redeeming the eGift card.

How many people can I invite to contribute?

There is no limit to the number of contributors you can invite to an event

What kind of gifts can I give?

You have the options of giving the recipient an eGift card or using an eGift card to purchase millions of items from Sears, Kmart or Lands’ End - online or in-store.

How do I let contributors know if I make a change to the event?

If you make a change to the gift amount or the items you’re going to purchase, an email will be automatically generated and sent to all contributors. You can make changes to your event on its Manage page.

Q.

Do I need a Sears.com login and password to use Give Together?

You will need a Sears.com site account to create a Give Together event, but an account is not required to make contributions.

Q.

Is there a limit to how much I can give?

The overall amount of the Give Together gift cannot exceed $5,000 and individual contributions must be at least $5, and cannot exceed $500. Your total gift value may exceed $5,000, but you will only be able to collect $5,000 for each Give Together event.

What if I need to return a purchased item?

Contributions cannot be refunded as they are an eGift Card purchase. For additional information, you can view our return policy here.
