Great idea, poorly designed
I have wired Schwinn bike computers on our other bikes and they work great. Just bought a tandem bike so this looked like a good solution one sender, two computers, no wires. First the good...Other reviewers have commented about false readings due to blinking lights, traffic signals, passing cars, etc. I was willing to chance it since most of our riding is in more remote areas...and I have not been able to duplicate that problem. This computer has fewer functions, not a problem. The other computers had me entering age and weight to figure calories. All I want is speed and distance so the easier set up with less functions is OK for me. Now the bad. I ordered two for the tandem. They sent me one red, the other black. Apparently they aren't the same frequency so my one sensor idea won't work. Now here is the big problem...the sensor is 1.5 inches long. On my wired computers the sensor is approx .5 inch thick. Setup for the smaller sensor is simple, slide the sensor up and down the fork until you get the correct spacing from the magnet. This won't work with an 1.5 inch long sensor unless your fork spacing is approx 6 inches (and most bikes are 3 to 4). Now I am trying to cludge together a bracket made of PVC pipe, hose clamps and duct tape to make it work (actually two brackets). Lastly the senders do not look like the picture. Perhaps the ones pictured may actually fit. My advice, buy a wired unit.

bike monitor

works good enough but the instructions for mounting were not understandable. took a little effort and several tries and it doesnt appear to give me miles as I ride just time and speed. I think I have to calculate what the mileage could be. good price though

Overall
Short range but functional

The range of the wireless computer is relatively small, so if you're thinking of using the sensor on your rear tire think again. Other than the fact that I have to mount it to the front tire I have no complaints. The computer seems to work fairly well.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
