We use a superior material that is UV--color fast/fade resistant, 80 Denier, 100% polyester, which is proprietary to Rico and developed over the years to last longer and stand up to the climatic elements around the country. We use "Permacoretex-60" thread to double-stitch the two pieces of car flag material together before binding and mounting on the poles. The poles are possibly the most important part of the construction. Rico has a proprietary manufacturing process that allows the flag to bend with the wind, but not crack in cold climates.
