Base, motor housing and end-shields made from cast iron, cast aluminum and steel (depending on the model) CSA NRTL/C certified (except 3-phase units), OSHA compliant. When accurate drilling is required, these Palmgren Drill Presses are neccesity, They are designed with a rigid stable construction along with precision machining for accurate performance. Large motor enables drilling in tough materials like cast iron and steel. Greater low-end speed range for larger drilling capacity. Long quill travel for deep operations. Heavy cast metal quill handle with rubber handles for comfortable use. Rapid and easy speed changes with swing-mount motor and pulley system. Cast iron head, table and column. Precision ground work table can be tilted 45 degrees both right and left, and rotates 360 degrees on a vertical axis. Includes coolant trough. Enclosed ball bearing quill assembly with long spindle travel. Maximum spindle run-out of 0.0005 inches (.0127mm) Hardened steel rack and pinion with locking mechanism for easy table height adjustment. Precision-ground worktable with 5/8 inches (16mm) T-slots for secure mounting of vise or other workholding stool. Locking power switch prevents unauthorized use. Quick-change vertical depth-stop for accurate and repeatable feed lenght. Includes chuck with safety-eject key, chuck, arbor and power cord.
