throw away bike
The rear shifter (derailleur) stopped working after four months rendering this bike junk unless you could ride in high gear all the time. I read online that this is a common problem with pacific bikes. The spring goes bad in the derailleur. This spring cannot be replaced or fixed. Called Pacific and they were more than happy to sell me a new derailleur for half what I paid for the bike and I would have to install it. I have already replaced both tubes as they are paper thin and go flat after a few rides. My daughter has only ridden this bike on paved roads and very little miles. If I new I was going to be spending this much money, I would have bought a more expensive bike worth the money.

not a comfort bike

I bought this bike for my teenage daughter to ride around the paved trails and possibly back and forth to work but this bike is so uncomfortable. I rode it myself and my buttocks were sore for three days.....i have a comfort cruiser myself and this bike is no where near the comfort level of my bike....all in all the bike is inexpensive but still not worth it; my daughter hates it..

Love this bike!

I love this bike. The gearing system on the handle bars are different from what I am used to, but much easier to work. I did change the seat out however..............Glad I bought this bike!

Easy assembly, but..

Looks nice and ok for what you pay for. Pedals were wrong size and couldn't use ones that came with. Going to see what Kmart does about it.

Great bikes

These bikes are wonderful for my 15 yr old and me a 43 yr old woman. Only thing is the gears keep on skipping but other than that it is a cool bike and really worth the price.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Basic bike

I don't own this bike! But I wanted to purchase cause its cheap. Know the expression get what you pay for?! I plan on riding around my neighborhood with my kids. Don't want a cruiser. All the bad reviews are on the tubes not holding up so I will have to think about it. However......for those people that mention the gears and other things. It seems they are avid bike riders. More then me. If your planning a 17 mile bike trip or heavy biking, I am wondering why you would want a cheap $99 no name bike??? I know this bike didn't get great reviews but I cannot rely on the reviews from people like this. Buy a bike that fits your needs and not your wallet is what I am thinking. Kids would be great or maybe not even using the gears if your riding in the park. simple riding. Anything more....get a better bike.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Inner tube broken before 1st ride

I took this bike for a ride, gears don't always catch, hard to turn. The inner tube on back tire was broken before 1st ride. The suspension is terrible, bumps are painful. I would spend more and get a schwinn next time.

Do not depend on the tubes that come with this bike!

I purchased this bike on Monday September 2nd. It was fully assembled and on the floor at the time of purchase. It listed for 99.99 at the store but the sales associate let me have it at the internet price of 94.99 so I was very satisfied with my purchase. When I got the bike home, I noted the rear reflector was broken but I did not want to go to the trouble of returning the bike. I took it to my local bike service center to have it checked out to make sure it was assembled properly as I was planning a 17 mile bike trip on September 9th. They checked the brakes and gears and was complimentary about the Kmart assembly. Unfortunately, I had only ridden a few hundred feet away from the shuttle van that took me to the top of the mountain when my rear tire partially deflated. I was lucky that the shuttle had not left the area and the driver came to my rescue and a new tube was inserted. I finished my ride uneventful except now the rear brake was not adjusted properly. I took the bike back to my local bike service center and they offered to adjust the brake free of charge and that?s when we discovered the front tube had deflated. I am very dissatisfied with this bike at this point.
