I bought this bike as a cheap way to get around to work and back. I rode it home after purchasing it and had no problem, breaks were great, shifting was acceptable. On my return trip from work three days later I hopped my front wheel and went over the curb. Never in all of my years on a bike have I seen a bike tire just pop and the wheel bend from going over a curb. But somehow the back tire managed to do just that. So I took it back to Kmart and tried another of the same bike. Maybe it was just a fluke. Four days later I was riding and I got off the bike after stopping quickly and I just let the bike drop because I had to retrieve something I dropped while riding. I picked up my bike again and the wheel had a huge bend in the back rim. Hits the frame everytime it rotates. What kind of Mountain Bike cannot go over a bump or handle a bit of abuse. Seriously.

Cheap product that was broken from the start and Kmart had no problem selling as new, functional merchandise.

I really wanted to like this bike. I bought it in late July for what seemed a good price. it looked good and seemed to work when I picked it up at my local K-Mart.Gearing is not great; but, acceptable for an inexpensive bike. The bike didn't brake well when I took it out the first time; but after adjusting/tightening, the brakes seemed to work okay (other than squeaking loudly when you brake). Unfortunately, the brakes have worn out incredibly fast. I have had the bike for only about three months and the brakes are almost completely worn out. I have also had to replace the rear tire's inner tube and the right pedal has broken (identical problems to those mentioned by other reviewers). I only hope that replacement brakes will not wear as fast as the original ones did. Three months for a set of brake pads is completely unacceptable. Combined with all the other problems, I would not recommend that anyone buy this bike regardless of the price

For starters it says BLUE, the one I received is silver. Fine not the color I wanted but I was going to keep it anyways. The bike has scratches dug in the frame, its missing paint in spots, the plastic pieces by handles for the brakes is broke on one side and has a small chunk missing. The tire frame is so bent on the front wheel it will not roll correctly and sticks on the break pad so much in spots it will not keep turning. If the bike was in new perfect condition it would probably be a nice bike to have

I realize for the price level, a person can't expect too much from this bike. All in all it has good features for a lower end model, but the one feature i couldn't get past was the single piece crank. I causes the pedal to have too much wobble, and allows the chain to jump now again, especially when putting extra pressure on the pedals, such as when going up hill. Once they change that crank, they'll have a pretty decent bike.

Maybe it was the way it was put together, or maybe just the price; you should just save a little more money and go with nicer model.

I recently had the opportunity to ride one of these when my friend had purchased it. I must say that it does ride nice and smooth and for the price you can't go wrong. I do think that it could be made with a little more quality and think i will keep looking for another model to purchase for myself

I bought this bike because of the generally good reviews on this website. I took the bike out three times, for a total of about 20 miles. The plastic pedal cracked off as I was climbing a hill, and the brakes were either installed very badly and/or are of bad quality. I had to adjust the brakes several times and they keep slipping. I'm not particularly heavy, about 170 lbs. The gears are about average for low-priced bikes, they shift but not incredibly well, sometimes it'll give some problems. If someone want to very lightly ride around on level streets, it's fine. But for anything more strenuous, I'd avoid it at all costs.
