Very Good Value
Just bought this bike and rode it home from my local Kmart. Wonderful bike and a great value for the money. Very comfortable to ride and seat positioning was more pleasant than some of the pricier models. Gears shift smoothly and has a nice smooth ride.

Craptastic Evolution Bike Review
Out of over 20 bikes I've used personally, my desk chair rides better than this thing. First day I got it, gear wires snapped and brakes loosened to the point where they did absolutely nothing. Please, for the love of the god, do not buy this bike. You cannot adjust a thing. If you try, either the brakes go completely out of whack or the gear shifts pop off. Almost all of the bolts on this bike are carbon steel. They rust in no time and you can't get them off. The shock absorbers are junk. I hurt myself constantly due to faulty shocks. My brother's bike has no shocks and doesn't hurt at all. The pedal clutch locks up constantly, causing me to pop a chain, fall over, or go over the handlebars. The tires go flat in a matter of DAYS. The rubber on the handlebars is dangerously loose, causing me to lose grip. Almost all of the reflectors fell off, the seat feels like a pile of rocks. I fixed EVERYTHING, and in a matter of hours, it all fell apart. One fall, and both tire rims get bent completely out of shape. My friend, who's been an expert at bikes since he was SIX, gave me an estimate of 50-80 bucks for this thing brand spankin new. I got the original for TWO HUNDRED. Luckily I have my own secret way of riding it I discovered trial-and-error to keep it in OK shape. But when some random kid rode it, who rides it just like any other bike, ABSOLUTELY ALL of the hardware failed. The brakes locked in place against the tire rims, both gear systems completely went down the drain, and the amount of friction on the clutch is more than a mousepad on a desk. Not only do I hate Pacific, but if I ever see one of these again, even in someone's backyard, even in a dumpster, I will smash it, take it apart, bend it, snap it, tear it, do whatever in the world I possibly can to make sure no other poor soul will even have to lay their precious eyes on this giant hunk of dollar-store garbage.

Love it!

My daughter loves this bike. The weather had finally gotten nice so my daughter decided she wanted to go out and ride her bike. Imagine her surprise when she discovered someone stole her bike from the backyard. I got online and ordered this from KMart for in-store pickup. Within a couple of hours I received an email saying it was ready. Was surprised it didn't require any building on my part. My daughter LOVES her new bike. Her last bike was her brother's hand me down, so she loves having her own brand new bike. She's still trying to learn about shifting gears, and she's finally grasping hand brakes, but she thinks it is terrific!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Unacceptable in every way

As others have said, this bike is very very poor quality. The pedals bend downward within a week, the gears don't shift properly, the brakes wore out almost immediately and YES the back tire tube goes flat in a matter of days for no reason!! Many others have also commented on that. I know this is not an expensive bike but such poor quality is simply unacceptable.

bike

I purchased a Pacific Evolution 26 inch Men's Mountain Bike. I bought this item on-line and used their layaway plan. The bike was on sale for a really good price and there was no fee for using the layaway plan. The bike is very well made, and ad a very comfortable seat. I did go to the store to check out the bike before purchasing it on line. I didn't plan on buying a bike untill summer time but when I seen it on-line for such a good price, I put it on the layaway plan right away. This is a nice convient way of making purchases. The bike is a good size for both women and men. The color ,white, was also good for either Men or women. The tires look very durable, had very good treads, making it a good choice for either recreation use in parks or on bike paths, or for using more on dirt paths. The handle bars are a perfect height but can also be adjusted to meet your comfort level for riding. The seat also adjusts to make it fit all types of riders. I would definetly recomend purchacing this product from K=Mart and would encourage using their convient layaway plan.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Using for over 2 years!

I bought this for my husband as a Christmas Gift 2 years ago. The first year is was used a few times a month for recreational. This past year we lost a car so he started to ride this bike to work 4 days a week. Other than replacing the seat it is great. Tires are still good as well.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Very Disappointed

I recently purchased this bike from K-Mart. I took it out for my 1st ride on Saturday. Initially, the bike felt unstable, but since it was new and I had not riden a bike in a while, I thought I would give it a try. I was riding in the country which had several hills. After about 2 miles, the gears stopped working. The brakes were marginal. Long story short is that after about 5 miles I'm sitting on my new bike and it won't shift in to lower gears so that I can ride up a hill and get back home. The alignment of the bike is very unstable. I was all over the road. Worst purchase I ever made. The price was right. The performance is pathetic. I had to walk most of the way just to get home. Not worth considering if you are looking at this bike.
