Oreck  Magnesium™ Upright Vacuum

this vacume is fantastic. it is so light you wouldnt think it would have enough suction to clean the floor. let me tell you it has plenty. i would recommend this vacume. the only downfall is that it doesnt have on board attachments.

I purchased this vacuum cleaner, because my other vacuum weighed well over 20lbs and it was very heavy to push and pull. This vacuum is wonderful, does a great job and is very easy to use. It basically glides across the carpet and hardwood floors. It works great, I have 5 cats and they have their own room, and with my heavy vacuum I would have to go over the carpet 2 times to get all the cat hair up, this does it in 1 sweep. I would highly recommend this vacuum, especially if you don't have a lot of strenth in your hands and arms. You could probably use this easily even from a wheelchair it is so light weight and manuevers so easily.

I have owned several vacs, rainbow, dirt devil, kirby, hoover and etc. then I finally switched to oreck. Oh what a vac, it cleans carpet, laminate, tile really well. light and has a long cord. I use to think they looked cheap but they do really out function the others. I hope oreck never changes their suction and light weight design.

I'm a senior and therefore I enjoy the fact that this vacuum is so lightweight. It has good cleaning abilityand, since I have pets, this is most important. The only complaint that I would have is that it doesn't have the tools needed to do baseboards or furniture.

Light weight and fits under beds and lays flat when needed. Strong suction and great filter system.

I own two Kirbys (they stand the test of time) and a Miele. This is my first Oreck. I find it to be a great little vacuum for floor cleaning! There are two settings. The first setting high for the carpet, really great suction. Comes with.. I believe 4 hepa bags. The second setting is for tile and hardwood. Instructions stated can scratch the hardwood so to test it on an inconspicuous area. I hold it up until I get to the second setting then set it down on the hardwood. I have vacuumed the hardwood a few times and haven't noticed any scratching. I really like the lightweight factor, ease of use and assembly, the hepa, and the price is reasonable. I needed a vacuum so the kids can vacuum their rooms so the lightweight factor was nice. We have 4 kids and a dog, so constant floor cleaning is needed in this household. There are no attachments so this is for floor cleaning only.

The extremely light weight helps a lot! This new model does a fine job of adjusting for plush carpet heights and hardwood or tile floors. More suction than much heavier, higher amperage models. Lifetime belt is a relief. Good heritage of great service. Sears sales makes it affordable.
