Finding Bulbs
While I have had nothing but good luck, I can sympathize with those who own a faulty product. But to say you cannot find a bulb, please! Type in the letters on the bulb and a website titled replacement bulbs.com comes up and sells you a bulb for $3.20! Be a problem solver, I just ordered two replacements because I have worn them out with years of use!!
I would recommend this product to a friend.

I used it once. The second time I got it out, it didn't work. My husband said it was the bulb. A google search has brought me no results for the bulb and the other reviews here tell me to just trash this thing.

easily brakes, no replacement parts - junk
The fluorscent light easily and quicly broke on the first use. The latern tipped over and the bulb broke. I am extremely unhappy that Sears provides no replacement parts. This crummy product is consuming way too much valuable real estate in our landfills.

As with the other users, my lantern broke. Took it out of the closet to pack for my son's week-long camping trip and the top simply fell off. It is too loose. The bulb broke, and because I pulled it out the night before his trip, he was sent to camp without a lantern. I've been to K-Mart, Lowes, Sears looking for a replacement. Plenty of people carry 7 watt U-shaped bulbs, but the pin placement on the Northwest Lantern isn't carried by anyone (2x2 vs. 4 pins in a row). I've looked on the internet to no avail. If you are going to buy a lantern, buy a Coleman. Replacements exist everywhere for their lantern bulbs. Buying this lantern was a waste of money. When the bulb goes, the lantern is obsolete.

Actually picked this up at Sears. I turned it over to install batteries, the top fell out and the bulb broke. Can't find a replacement, and even if I could, it would probabaly cost almost as much as I paid for the Lantern. The top of the lantern comes loose very easely. Be careful.
