Great for a while
This is great bike, or was better than buying those expensive ones. Anyway, I have this for about two years now, and it started to fall apart little by little right after a month. It depends how and where you use it. I usually don't go ride too much but right now it doesn't have any brakes left, tires are no longer coordinated, freewheel or whatever that is, has lost few gears, the main spring for support in between the bike, makes too much noise. The bottom line is that every time you get a hit, something little by little goes off, and latter it become lie this...

It's Cheap. Can be made better with a few upgrades.

It is definitely cheap. Sticker on the top bar states that is not made for off road use. I turned it into an urban commuter (Comfort/Hybrid) type bike anyway. Derailleur/Frame/Wheel Allignment may or may not work for you. It may take a lot of work to get everything trued (Derailleur/Frame Dropouts/Brakes/Wheel Alignment) in order to operate properly. Don't count on the store assembling it correctly.

Here is what I changed out:

1) Stock Seat sucks, changed it out with a Velo Elastomer seat.

2) Stock Brake Pads suck, installed Kool Stop Vbrake pads (way more stopping power).

3) Stock Knobby Tires not good for street, installed Kenda K838 Slicks w/ Avenir Thorn Resistant Tubes.

4) Added rear PDW 5 LED light and mounted a generic 14 LED flashlight up front.

5) Installed a Topeak RX Rear Seat Post Fender.

6) Changed handle grips to Ergon P1 Gripshift Compatible Grips.

7) Found out that the brake levers when using the tension adjusters and then applying enough torque on the brake will strip it out due to being only mounted into plastic. Will be replacing those with Avid FR-5's

8) Even after numerous adjustments and tuning, I am still unable to reliably use the 7 gear on the rear cassette without chain slipping (over the gear, not off of the gear) I suspect it is the lack of tension on the derailleur which cannot be adjusted on this cheap one. Maybe I'll change that too eventually.

All in all it was pretty affordable even with all the upgrades. I often get positive comments on it's looks. It gets me 10 miles/day from A to B back to A. This thing is like a tank 45-50lbs so be ready to work those legs hard. When I can afford a $500+ 700c hybrid bike w/disc brakes I will get one and happily retire this guy. Until then I'll be working on this project bike.

Epic Failure in the first 5 minutes of riding

I purchased this bike for my son since he had outgrown his 24in bike and he specifically asked for this style of ride. He loved the look of the bike, but we no sooner got it home and he took it for a ride the first time he shifted the rear gear set the derailer over traveled into the spokes and almsot sent him over the handlebars. I'm taking the bike back today for a refund, I won't buy this brand again.

Overall
Not a great bike at all.

I owned this bike for all of 3 hours. As soon as I bought this bike I took it out to a paved concrete trail (TVA trail in Muscle Shoals, AL). It did fine at first until I got to the points of the trail where you gotta start switching gears. The gears slipped and on the slightest incline it wouldnt even go. It would just slip and slip and slip. The chain fell off of it TWICE. One of the shifting cables began to sheer from itself and the seat started splitting open. The factory seat is hard as a rock. But this bike seems to have a nice sturdy frame and the stock wheels are pretty nice. The brakes worked fine and the pedals had no problems. I was a Marine for 4 years and rode bikes often. I never personally owned one but borrowed or used an extra bike that a friend had. This bike was an epic fail. I should of known better haha

Overall this bike would be great for flat ground. Or any terrain where you dont have to shift often. You get what you pay for. I guess im gonna have to drop 500 to have a decent bike.

Kmart was great about giving me my money back though and the guy that sold it to me was great. He aired up the tires and everything before I took it from the store.
