Magellan  RoadMate 2136T-LM GPS Receiver

Sometimes I can't put my address in as it appears in the telephone book. Seems that it has difficulty with addresses on the edge of towns where you wouldn't expect needing cross road names. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles, but for us it's good enough

I LOVE THIS GPS. IT IS 100% ACCURATE. HAVE HAD THIS FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS. KNOCK ON WOOD, NO PROBLES SO FAR. BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW, SO IT IS NOT A REFURISHED UNIT.

This is the worst GPS we have owned. After about 6 months it stopped working properly. Now it doesn't work at all. Buy a Garmen!

I bought this unit on sale in early April 2012 in part because of the box that features "lane assist." After taking the unit home, and updating the software as recommended, the "lane assist" feature has not been available. After more than a month of emails back and forth to Magellan support to get updates, there is still no fix for this issue and no ETA is given for a fix. I find this unacceptable for a Sears product. Magellan is forcing me to go back to my old Garmin unit. IMO, this product is falsely advertised by Magellan. Don't buy it. Sears should be embarrassed to have it on its shelves.

We owned this model for exactly a month before the power adapter and battery died. In the middle of nowhere. While on a quest to get Chinese food. Long story short, I did not get my orange chicken and made it back home thanks to blind luck. Inconvenient, sure, but no big! We got KMart's 1 Year Replacement Plan! We'll just take it in and have it replaced! Except, wait. No. We will not have it replaced. Because KMart does not have any in stock, does not know when they'll get any in stock and really doesn't know what to tell us. Why did we buy the 1 Year Replacement Plan exactly? I guess just to spend the extra money uselessly. Because who doesn't love to throw money away? I know it's my favorite hobby. But while our GPS lived (we called her "Hermione" for the record. Because she was a bossy little thing.) she became like part of the family. We depended on her and grew to love her. We mourned her loss. In conclusion: Good GPS as long as you don't get attached to it. No Chinese Food. BAAAAAD KMart. Don't bother with the replacement plan unless you like bitter disappointment and a feeling of hopelessness.

I recently bought this gps because it featured life time maps. I went to update and found out this unit is being discontinued and there will be no updates in future. to me this is false advertisement. yes i got a good deal on this item at $100.00 but to be misled by item discription is not right
