Great airplane

Very fun build. The details are nice and a good size build that will take up a few hours of your day. Lots of fun as you can make two other different models as well!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

My Favorite Set So Far

This is the coolest set I've ever owned, and is the coolest ever LEGO airplane besides the Sopwith Camel, which is $40 more than this one. The building process takes a while, but that doesn't bother me. It was fun to sift through all the awesome pieces and see the ingenuity behind this set's design. Pros: -Thick fuselage and deep wings create a heft that adds to the authenticity of the plane. -The gear system for activating the propeller is awesome. You can open up the engine and just stare at the gears as they spin. Makes me happy. -The color scheme isn't red like almost every other vehicle set in the history of LEGO. -The sliding back canopy is awesome. -The wheels fold into the undercarriage. -It looks so awesome. Great design. Con (that's right, just one): It didn't come with a mini figure (which doesn't bother me much, but I wouldn't complain if it had a pilot with it) Overall, I'd say it's more than worth the purchase. I highly recommend it for both LEGO fans and aviation aficionados. The plane is based pretty heavily on the SBD Dauntless, an American dive-bomber in service during World War II. Super cool.

Lego plane

You cannot go wrong with Legos. We actually bought two and took a night to build now we work on combining the two to four winged super plane. Kids enjoyed the size of the build.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Multiple build fun

I absolutely loved this set! The details could not have been improved and everything a plane of this model did in real life, the Lego set did just that (except fly) PROS 5+ functions and realistic details moving rotor on plane & helicopter Cons Alternate builds-too small & easy

A very good toy

I think this is the most valuable product of the Lego Creator series. Contain more than 600 pieces, and variable to three different kinds of vehicles. Complicated and lots of fun!

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Add this to your LEGO creator collection.

Overall - Build was easy, the rewarding part is when you're almost or done building when you see everything together. I actually found the building process a little bit boring until the final few pages when I start to see everything together. Maybe it's just the design or layout of the plane (not from Plane Features perspective, just simply how / where bricks are laid). LEGO didn't do really anything thing wrong here, just like typical plane sets, you build the body, the wings then the tail...typical...but just...In my opinion, nothing...really crazily exciting when building this. I guess this is the ONLY negative if you ask me about this set, this may not even be valid negative anyway. Positive : 1. Looks great when finished 2. NO STICKERS! YAY! 3. The features are sophisticated and works great! I like the features. 4. Like how they included the remove tool - handy Negative: 1. IN MY OPINION - building process was not exciting.

Favourite set so far

I absolutely adore this set. You can see a significant step up in design compared to the cheaper sets that include helicopters and planes. This set gives some serious build time. The instructions are very clear but the sheer number of bricks gives that extra difficulty that I value highly as I enjoy the building of my sets the most. I am not a huge fan of the boat design in this set, but that is a minor personal opinion that is significantly outweighed by how much I love the other two sets. There is a fair price tag attached but I think it's incredible value for money considering what you actually get in return. Very very happy customer, I would 100% recommend.

Lego Delivers!

Back when the sopwith camel came out last year, i said that it would be a great idea to create another aircraft that was based off of a real aircraft, which is whhat they did here. although a WWII fighter was never painted with this livery, is is based off of the Douglas SBD Dauntless, a fighter that served through the heart of WWII, from 1940 to 1944, likely in the pacific theater. originally i had wished that Lego would have made a P-51 Mustang (which inspired the name for the famous ford Mustang sports car) or a B-25 Mitchell bomber (the type of plane used to bomb tokyo in the movie PEARL HARBOR) and be made as a special edition like the Sopwith, but creator did a good job making a plane based off a plane, like back in 2009 with Sonic Boom, which it was based off of the Eurofighter Typhoon and the McDonnel Douglas F-4 Phantom. Plus better with the price tag too. Whats next, a jet based off of the SR-71 Blackbird spyplane? Who knows?!
