    I love the Junior Tag Reader! Leapfrog in general makes wonderful educational toys, but the Junior Tag Reader is sheer genius! The selection of Junior Tag Reader compatible books is meager, but what they do have to offer are fun popular character titles like Disney Cars, Toy Story 3, Thomas & Friends & Sesame Street which are all things my son is interested in. Combining interactive sounds & voices, popular children's characters into a Junior Tag Reader that helps children to learn independently. They cover several different areas of learning. For example, the Disney Cars book focuses on recognizing shapes. Overall, the Junior Tag reader is a great product and is reasonably priced, small & portable and easy to use.

    I got this for a Christmas gift this year for my daughter. she is big on doing things herself. i cant wait to see how she does with this. it looks easy to use.

    Pros:
    easy for young ones to use,kids can do it all on their own

    My son was given a Leap Frog Tag Junior and several books last year for Christmas and we absolutely love it!  He loves sitting and reading his books with it (as does his little sister) and I love that he enjoys it so much.  There are a variety of books, each offering a different educational experience.  

    I love that, as a parent, I can go online and download the work that he's been doing with the pen to see what exactly he is getting out of it.  He loves that he is "reading" all by himself.  

    The only con I have with the pen (if you can even call it a con) is the fact that it does not have a place to plug headphones into it as the Leap Frog Tag pen has.  My oldest son has the Tag pen and can hook headphones up to it in the van for long trips, while my younger son can't.  

    Overall they are great.  I plan on getting more books this year for birthdays and Christmas!

    easy for young ones to use

    We got this for my daughter for her second birthday.  We really like it because of how educational it is.  It holds her interest for a significant amount of time and seems very sturdy for being used by a toddler.  It is appropriate for ages 2-4 years old, although 4 year olds may become a little bored with some of the Tag Junior books, but at that point they can move up to a Tag system.  The Tag Jr Book Pal gets children familiar with reading books and makes it fun.  It is a very easy to use toy with just a power on/off button and a volume control button for the child to be able to control.  It comes in either green or a pink/violet color.  It is definitely worth the money because of the benefits it produces.
